Drinking before or during a mushroom trip is stupid, a few social drinks is no problem, i just hope you aren't trying to get drunk and trip at the same time. But mushrooms tend to give you and unusually high tolerance to alcohol and once the trip wears down a little you will get kicked in the ass by how drunk you are. Hippies don't recommend drinking and tripping but to each his own.

this isn't a cultivation question.

if you read at erowid, in the 'health' section about mushrooms, they've got a few tales of when people have had trouble with mushrooms. alot of them involve alcohol. i'd stay away from it. i've had a few trips though that after they were over but still kind of there (you know what i mean) i drank a few beers. no worries.

don't go getting drunk though. and no liquor. i think a little beer is probably cool.

Like i said It's stupid, mushrooms give you an unusually high tolerance, which means if you eat mush and start trying to get drunk you're gonna have to drink an awful lot which could lead to all kinds of problems from alcohol poisoning to coming down off the trip and being overwhelmed, you obviously rather get drunk then have a clean trip, get drunk have your fun man, just don't come around me with that shit

Dude, don't drink *during* your trip -- it is pretty much a waste. One time my friend ate some mush/liquid and drank like 1/2 litre of vodka and smoked like 3 grams. The next morning, we woke up, no longer tripping, but drunk and stoned :smile:
But yeah it's cool to have a brew or three then eat some, as long as you're not one of those sensitive stomach types ...

No further need for me to elaborate, but that is the total truuth about alcohol. You do not need to drink while on shrooms. It is a waste of good shrooms.

I usually end up drinking as I'm coming down (where you're down but not quite down). I've drunk liquor (vodka, rum) and many different types of keg beer. I just try to have only a few beers and not get drunk. You've just taxed your body (and mind) with a mushroom trip; you're taxing your body (and mind) even more by drinking excessive alcohol, and I'm sure it can get real harsh on your body. Mushrooms are hard on the liver; alcohol is hard on the liver and dehydrates the body, which is not good if you have been fasting before a mushroom trip. I really just have social drinks, although it can be tough when my friends (who did not shroom that day) start chugging beers and trying to get me to chug beers with the homies. Just keep the beer count low and you should be fine. The alcohol won't even be felt.

I don't like alcohol while tripping.
But after a trip, I enjoy the taste of beer. I also noticed that after tripping my body seems more resistant to alcohol...
