I really want to build a similar lab. I cannot build a room because I rent, but I might just use an extra room. I am planning on buying an AA 921 and a burner and a couple hundred petris, building myself a flowhood, an incubation cabinet and several fruiting cabinets. I have been experimenting with foodsaver bags; so far they always melt. If I can figure out how not to melt them, I will buy a couple hundred feet of plastic tubing; if not, I will buy a couple hundred mycobags.

You buy me the laser particle counter, and i'll do it. =)

I'm sure the count is high. It's not a clean room, just a cleaner room. Hell, it's in a garage, and not completely air tight. Just prevents drafts, really.

Awesome!

I have a camera that i've been using, but it's shitty - and i've been lazy, everytime I get to my lab, I end up working on bullshit, and forgetting to take pictures, but in a week you'll see it, and you can verify it's there

Also, i'll be getting up pics asap. I need to put them up on my webpage. So it may be more hurried than i'd thought.

Here's the info on a company that supplies plastic duct. I got 150' of 4mil, 12 inch polytube for 51.00. The stuff worked great. Make sure you don't get the pre-punched stuff.

my lab died. it was in a buddys garage, and he moved. I had to take down my little plastic room, and so I have all my equipment boxed up.

I have a lot of stuff for sale, if anyone is interested. Pretty much the only thing i'm not selling is my stereoclave.

Anything else on the list, shoot me a tell if you want to buy it. (including the hood)

Raadt:
Maybe you could supply a list with the things you want to sell and the price ? This way the decision for customers wether to buy or not would be much easier .

Anno:

I actually built a flowhood that I like better than that one, which i'd bought. And I have my stereoclave and my hood setup in my room. And it's just fine. I don't really need this large lab so to speak.

I still am experimenting with all the gourmet cultures, i'm currently working on coprinus comatus. But I just don't have the time to start the net biz, i considered. It's too much time not enough income. I had some luck with L. Nuda, and i'm trying to figure out if it's possible to get decent bulk yields. Because if it is, I could make a fortune selling to the restaurant I work in. Right now we're paying like 20/lb for fresh chanterelles from lithuania. If I could make my cost for yield on blewitts 5/lb, i could sell them to the restaurant for 15/lb. Really decent.

I'm just trying to balance my hobby, work, and school right now. And it's extremely difficult. Fruiting L. Nuda has been my crowning glory, for right now. I was planning on posting a grow log, when I have time to type it up.
