My country ruined a beautiful, enormous continent, killed most of its native inhabitants and then tried to suck its resources away to help its great Empire. My country had no honour in the matter and things have turned for the worse since then.

My country was one large forest a few thousand years ago jst like much of the US was a few hundred years ago. Not much left of the world's trees left for humans to destroy.

i think the so called American revolution was mainly a farce and we never truly broke from the english aristocracy/royalty. all i can say is that America serves as the perfect scapegoat.

I think we're a notch or two above Satan, but I get the drift. It seems like if one is critical about our country one is accused of being unpatriotic, yet we do have some serious problems that need addressing now. Same as it ever was.

Every democracy degenerates over time and requires a fresh infusion of freedom. Seems to me that we have reached that time because as you said, manipulation of the masses is out of control. It's almost funny watching these Presidential campaigns and how they have media control down to a science. No one talks specifics anymore they just project tone and warm and fuzzy. Like Pres. Bush being a "compassionate conservative". When you think of compassion dontcha automatically think of President Bush?  :rolleyes:
