" it seems childish to bash a religion/whatever you want to call it, without trying to understand it."
Yes, your right, thats WHY I respect Hindus, and hate scientology(and the upper members)
"people with blinders...my pet peave...carry on" So you see whats really there huh??, and we are bilnd?, the truth??
Look everyone has a perspective, and mine looks down on religous extremism, and THATS what scientology is. (its a scam, not to mention a bunch of bullshit)
I am more tolerant then you could imagine, but a scam is a scam.

Well, anything can be seen as a scam whatever way you look at it. I could sit here for days telling you conspiracy theories on how vending machines are a big scam! or tithing is a big scam! or the salvation army bell ringers are a big scam! etc.. It is just whatever way you choose to see it, but however you do end up seeing it, doesnt make it so, just because of your opinion of it. If you think it is a scam, then dont put your money in the machine, no one is forcing you to do so. If you think it has something to offer you: insight, candybars, good feelings or whatever, then it isnt a scam to you. You might be willing to spend 50 dollars on drugs, while i could find 1000 people to say, you just got scammed. You are trying to materialize your opinion in this world, when it needs to remain within the realm of YOU.

even if scientologists covered up cases of child sex abuse, does that make it any different from the Roman Catholic church coverying up cases of sexual abuse of children by priests. Or did the church just try to ignore it, in any case its still abuse. And scientology isnt the only religion to be guilty of it even if it is guilty of this crime.
before some retard who is under the dis-allusion that this could never happen by people of the christian faith, espeicially the preachers of it, below are some links.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,474428,00.html
http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2001/117/24.0.html
http://www.americancatholic.org/News/ClergySexAbuse/
alternatively google search will suffice, should be something under the BBC previous reporting on child abuse by catholic church.

Ahem... I was in Scientology for many years, the attempted defenders of the critical postings about this unmitigated scam are trying to contain, deflect and handle any possible motivation that the data might provide for folks to actually get active and do something about Scientology.
Scientology LIES... the lies start when a person joins, when they are told that "Scientology can help them with THAT"
"THAT" being whatever the scientologists has determined to be the ITEM that the new person wants Handled.
Their members are told that the information on the net "IS ALL LIES"...
As a pattern of behavior they accuse other people of their own devious acts.
Scientology breaks down into three parts:
Step 1) The lies told to proselytize.
L Ron Hubbard's implied promises, are most like the promises made by the German Orden, in the early 1930's to regular citizens, to entice them to become members of the Nationalist Socialist party..
Step 2) Once a person is hooked, like one of the posters here who is trying to 'handle' the criticism, Scientology then uses a series a techniques to keep the person from finding out that he has been conned... These include demonizing those who criticize or try to expose them, the use of logical fallacy in argument, a image mapped graphic illustration of step 2.. Extending the time they discover the fact of being defrauded is HERE.
Step 3: are the things Scientology does to those who do figure out how the scam is constructed, every, single action is essentially a campaign towards begetting SILENCE.
The Signature Image is of Hubbard not long before he died...
Hubbard's Scientology has, as Dire Straits sang in "The Man is too Strong" from their Brothers in Arms album:
He Legalized robbery called it belief

Oh and one more thing, Scientology's super secret upper levels are in fact
BASED UPON THE USE OF AMPHETAMINES!
but they HIDE this from their members, and of course, tell them that It is all lies!

Oh wow, i thought this thread had died a long time ago.
I think it is funny how amazingly uninformed you are. Especially as you try to act like you are/were a scientologist. You gave nothing on their tenets and doctrines. It is also obvious that you copy and pasted this. Also, you were very eloquent in not ever making any actual statement, but makign them look like such, when they are actually just incomplete thoughts with no backing whatsoever.
And let me tell you! I have heard some amazingly imagined lies and attacks on scientology! but this one takes the cake. Amphetamines! how hilarious. I wuold love to see some more of this, because as all of the scieno antagonists come up with these outlandish lies, it destroys your credibility, especially when someone like myself, who has had so much exposure to it, can debunk it all with personal accounts from an outside perspective of the church. amphetamines.....now that is great... keep em coming, post some links of proof also if you could.

Yes yes, I understand the scientology party line, "its all lies" of course it is dear...you see I was one of them, just like you, thinking that if I toed the line I'd end up "OT"....
And you believe that you might become one with God-like powers upon the Earth? You call that OT... Crowley called his order OTO.... I call it a scam, cause if there were just ONE of those super duper OTs in Scientology, you wouldn't have been asked to monitor this thread on behalf of Scientology's Office of Special Affairs via your local "OT" committee? I suggest you tell your boss you need reenforcement's, but the new replies should come back to you through "Issue Authority" shortly..to spam this thread.. so folks won't see these postings and that IS what it is about isn't it?
I thought your Scientology "CREED" said that Scientology supported Free Speech... is this a lie too? (heh)
Re; Your comments
If you dare to follow the links on the cited pages, you find that the links goto sworn testimony... but I know, you cannot even raise your head to look...unless it is (c) L Ron Hubbard
"Scientologists believe that most human problems can be traced to lingering spirits of an extraterrestrial people massacred by their ruler, Xenu, over 75 million years ago. These spirits attach themselves by "clusters" to individuals in the contemporary world, causing spiritual harm and negatively influencing the lives of their hosts " US federal Judge Leonie Brinkema in RTC vs Lerma
The Amphetamine 'claim' is sworn testimony of L Ron Hubbard's own son, Nibs hubbard, who later changed his name to Ron DeWolfe to avoid being associated with Hubbard's name.
And you are currently believing what David Miscavige tells you?
That's the current leader of scientology on the left..David Miscavige who was called "the Asthmatic dwarf" when he first joined Scientology...Hubbard on the right. (NB: for the Humor impaired Scientologists, this image is a parody)
You can also hear L Ron Hubbard's great grand son perform his poetry onstage... Called Judas Son....
Jamie Kennedy wrote: " My mom sadly shook her head and told me that this is only the beginning, that they won't ever stop until I'm quiet, they have too much money, too many thugs and slaves and lawyers, that I'm fighting an impossible fight, that this fight almost killed my grandfather and HAS killed other people. So: if I vanish, you know who the suspects are. Just had to let everybody know." MORE here: http://www.lermanet.com/cos/openmic.htm
Jamie Kennedy's slam poety is no longer on mp3.com, the last rendition of it on the net is HERE:

Wow, paranoia at full throttle here. You seriously think i was put here to monitor this thread? I was here before this thread ever was....LOL. I think the ral question is who has put you up to this? it sounds like you have a pretty serious goal in mind...since that was your 3rd post on here.
Look, i understand it makes you feel like you are important, and know so much since you read a few web pages. Im sure it makes you feel like a real human being to put so much energy forth to antagonize and hate some organization. You did a google search for forum threads about scientology and this popped up, you thought, oh im gonna go spread my vast second hand knowledge and copy and paste a bunch of stuff that has already been posted on here. GOOD JOB!! you are a buck short and a day late buddy!

You think this posting makes me feel important? Really???
You don't think the following has anything to do with it ?
Jeremy Perkins needed medical help, but the church does not believe in the use of drugs, so it was recommended that Jeremy take vitamins and do mest work. So as a result he STABBED his mother 77 times.
Lisa McPherson had a mental break down in Clearwater, and members of the cult took her out of the hospital, to get some R&R at the fort harrisson, the mecca of the cult and she DIED in their care.
Tom Cruise a member of the cult, having problems with his wife, and with all this fantastic tech of saving your marriage, was unable to do so. You don't think when the cult claims they have the tech for something, and the public watch the members getting no results from it, that this could be the real why ?
Ida camburn was having problems with her son. She just wanted what all mothers want, a phone call, a mothers day card, just normal contact between a mother and her child. Her son, knowing the great tech in the wthb, and policies on good manners and mantaining friendly relations, refused to demonstrate the workablility of the tech. Think perhaps this could be another real why ?
Maria Pia Gardini.being ripped off for $1,000,000.00 Think perhaps after reading horror stories like this, that maybe be thats the real why ?
You go ahead and live in your dream world. Its much better then being able to look at what the cult has done and is doing to people.
Scientology is creating thousands of people, posting information abut their true nature all over the web.
Perhaps you should read more and talk less

It is funny that you dont question your own sources. you will Accept anything negative about Scientology, yet question and deny anything positive about it. I was living in Clearwater, FL when Lisa Mcphereson died, so I got to read the local newspapers everyday and saw all the protests outside of the Fort Harrison. Turns out, if you would have read further, that the local police withheld and suppressed evidence with this case, which later surfaced, But you know, that story has a hard time getting news coverage, people only like to hear the shocking news, like yourself. How can you blame a church on someone stabbing someone else? that is just plain dumb. That is no better than people attacking music for teen violence. Attackign some movie stars marriage is the best you have... that is sad. No religion ever has 100% results, and pointing out one case of a divorce as if scientologists think they are better than everyone else, and are way above petty things like divorce. Your attacks are sadly crumbling, go aim your misinformed hate somewhere else, because the more you post here, the more i will show how little you really know about this topic.

On December 5, 1995, Lisa McPherson was dead on arrival at a hospital 45 minutes north of Clearwater Florida. According to the coroner's report, Lisa was underweight, severely dehydrated, and had bruises and bug bites (see the entire report here).
Lisa's last address was listed by the police as 210 S. Ft. Harrison in Clearwater Florida, which is the Fort Harrison Hotel, a Scientology property. Lisa had been a Scientologist from the age of 18 to her death at age 36.
Lisa was put on the Introspection Rundown that Scientology uses to handle those who have had a psychotic break.
-------------------- The most extensive description of the RPF at Scientology's facility near Hemet, California, appears in a sworn declaration by former Sea Org member Andre Tabayoyon (1994). Tabayoyon stated that he spent approximately six years in the RPF during his 21 years in the organization (A. Tabayoyon, 1994: 7, 8). In the RPF program that he was on beneath Scientology's Cedars Sinai Hospital building in Los Angeles, he allegedly slept on "a slab inside the vault of the morgue." In the RPF in the property near Hemet, he stayed in "the chicken coop dormitory... which still smelled of chicken coup droppings [sic]" (A. Tabayoyon, 1994: 18; see Kent Interview with Young, 1994: 20). http://www.whyaretheydead.net/krasel/aff_at.html
