How big are those jars? The standard shoebox size is 6L. Those 3L ones will definitely work, but I don't think they will have enough space to fruit. If you put them into a larger tub after, that'll be fine.

Is the consensus that the black jar lids, Ball brand, are the way to go nowadays compared to any other pp5 despite the higher price? I still rock some old white plastic ones, unmodified, and some knock off brand ones as well, although those are a bit more of a pain in the ass.

I have ships on mine and I still use the rtv to "glue" them in place and seal the edges. Maybe it's me but my contam rate dropped drastically after doing this. I use some pp5 lids off the Zon that have silicone seals. They seem to hold up better then ball in my experience. Ball always warped these haven't after 8 cycles so I'm happy with them. They can be hard to open because of the silicone seal.
Don't mind the paper towel remnants on the lid or the dog hair. I use paper towel under my foil hats to keep the filter dry and I wasn't using the port this time so I never wiped it with iso. I was just trying my dog and it probably fell off my hand.

Both these jars are sus, left one no doubt but the right one looks a bit to creamy (maybe somewhat bacterial) and the fact it needed 27 days to fully colonize is a bad sign too ...

As others have said, don't mix them.

i do mistake i do a second shake after 2 weeks after that the problems beginning

look how the jars look after i do 1 shake after the first 6 days.


after it it never recover like it does after the first shake.... will never do a second shake again it was too stupid...

i think i send them and also start new with 2 jars i still have 2 left but they also have not recover well from the second shake...

I do send them if this is a fail attempt then it's OK i will do another grain Jars but will PC them longer 2 hours for safety ore are 1,5h enough?

This is how it looks i prep my Pre hydrate Coco with water for the squeeze test i don't know if it is 100% correct but let's see...



Here are my Two Boxes each 3l volume next time i buy bigger ones.. When a ziplock tek works with way less volume why not my 3l Boxes?

I tape the lid from the side so they hold the lid tight down it's litte bit loosely so hope it works.

I also ad a litte layer on top with coco spray it a bit for bit moisture.

What you think how are my chances are realistic?

Personally I think you’ll get shrooms (especially from the right jar), but only one way to find out!
