Actually there's nothing wrong with it, this is just for maintenance as it is several years old.

Question of smell. ๐Ÿค”

I've grown Makilla Gorilla in a ready-to-grow bag. Transferred the cake to a larger bag (only side pins in the original bag). Humidity likely too high. Bottom of cake moist. Side clusters of mushrooms brown inside. Smell kind of acid. Not foul either. Weird though.

I've thrown away the brownest ones.

Should I get rid of the whole flush to avoid any risks of intoxication?

Any insights on 1 or 2 for g2g? Ones millet done with agar, the other is wbs done with LI.



Anything bad I'm missing? I know there are a few pressed grains in the LI one, but I think it's just glass physics and not bacteria, thick mycelium throughout

Any idea about whether a second flush is possible? Like worth giving a shot at all? Would i dunk normally or only mist as not to stress the bottom (where the wet rot is present, its tucked at the corner where metabolites/excess moisture gathered :/)

Grains look a little bursty, like they were a tad overhydrated going into the PC cycle, but the myc looks good!

Two quick questions, with two photos.

First, I am assuming this is trich in this shoebox, and I should toss it immediately. I had a similar growth in another tub in a different room after a 4th small flush, but this is after flush 1, with all of the mushrooms coming off the clean end of the shoebox.



Second photo -- I have 2 agar plates that I'm cloning from a fruit that I cut into. Clear contam in one plate, the other looks clean. Can I cut that bad spot or two out, or is it best to just toss the effected plate?

IMO you should get rid of that tub ASAP. It's in full sporulation...

As for the plates โ€” I wouldn't trust either of them. If anything, transfer what you have to new plates and keep an eye on them.

Will dump the tub. Hopefully it doesn't contaminate anything further.

Can you say more about what you don't like about the second plate? Or is it just that it's next to the first? When I transfer, I should take as much of the growing mycelium as I can, or just a small bit?
