Nice clusters!  Man I was so excited that I was gonna have another tub to post in here when I found out that after just two fuckin weeks my texolo was already knotting up(!), but then I cased it (as gently as possible obviously) and they just reverted back:facepalm:  Should have just let it ride but I'd gotten such great results from a good, soaked peat casing that I thought I could get away with it... Don't case your boxes after you see knots, boys and girls...  I like that little jar you have going, Churp!  Great way to get some fast prints I bet!

Really sorry to see months of work go to waste šŸ„² I genuinely feel for you.

Not trying to push my method at all, but this particular variety has been grown many times using a different approach. Early on, before any pins show up, theyā€™re kept under a lid with holes for several months until they fully establish. After that, theyā€™re either moved into an automated box without cyclical air exchange, or covered with a square plastic ā€œgreenhouseā€ that fits the tub.

That cover usually has a lot of small holes all aroundā€”two rows: one at surface level and one along the upper curve. Hole size is about like a standard hole punch (~1/4 inch), spaced roughly an inch apart.

From what Iā€™ve seen, theyā€™re pretty tolerant to higher COā‚‚ levels, but they really prefer a stable environment without sudden changes. They also responded well to gentle misting.

They are my first zaps, so I can't compare :shrug: They are faster than the slow lines of subtrops though, and faster than ingeli.

Been a long time coming, too. Wanted to do several sect. Zap species this year, but some well-timed heatwaves, my eternal absence during the summer months and a nice sprinkling of gnats and mites kept everything at square one.

Zap. Popocatepetl is by far the fastest zap I know, not that I know them all :muppet:

What kind of Zapos could those might be..? I donā€˜t have any information's about the strain only that they were collected as wild spores..

Those look beautiful. And yeah it is hard to tell at that stage they were in when the photo was taken. Maybe if Myzelion asked the person he got the wild spores from they could possibly elaborate more. There's only a handful of Zap varieties going around so they shouldn't be too hard to track down. They don't really look like the Popos, Citlas, or La Martinicas I've grown out

See, those were not straight, I put light on side and later moved to the top and thatā€™s for them curly.  I didnā€™t have any of those you mentioned except my first one Texolo, and NSW, Popocatepetl, Tapala

Gotcha I see. Sometimes they will curl though depending on the light source forsure. I've had the Popos and La Martinicas get curly on me before but also straighten out. The Citlas were mostly straight. Though the Citlas were from a wild print. Myzelion's look like a little mixture of both. Mostly straight but some curls too
