Humic acid. Does this still have a place in growing cannabis? If so how much do you use and how often?

I use liquid humic as my "alternate" energy feeding in between my regular feedings. I go back and forth between the two, I don't know how to give them just water... well maybe at the end of the cycle.  Below is Wedding Cake SIP grown, with light feedings, you will see some say don't feed SIPS... hilarious to me, but I give them LABS here and there and keeps everything nice and clean and tidy.  I quit the Labs around week 5, not necessary at that point when they are drinking FAST.

Anyone done Greenleaf Nutrients Mega crop 1 part on coir?

Even if it has Cal and Mag, coir should still be buffered right?

If it's prebuffered coir don't worry about. If you are using unbuffered coir, yes, buffer it even if supplementing cal mag. Call mag will actually get held up by the coir and I think the coir will release salts to make room for cal mag, which could really mess with your nutrients and EC. At least in my experience it was like that. I never did get the balance corrected during that grow.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'm not going to overkill but I have organic humic acid that I was going to add maybe 1 time a month. Your flowers looks really nice and frosty!

Thanks Big Worm, these SIPS make it too easy.

I'll get a shot of my GDP gurls when the light comes on for you old school fans out there.  They are just over 50 days in, happens fast.  She's a clone I've been running from CSI for some time.

Oh, I give my plants a light tsp about once a week per gallon.  The purp plants are in 7 gal smarties, but I normally run passive hydro SIPS.  I was going to feminize these plants, but decided to bloom them out, don't need seeds right now, have WAY too many, I should give some away really, if that's out of order, my bad, don't want to step on toes, I'm in a legal state in that regard.  You ever need anything Big Worm, like that 61-drop top Impala, HOLLA!

Alright outdoor growers, any advice for next year for dealing with pests like aphids and caterpillars? My outdoor plants were decimated primarily by caterpillars. Is my only hope to spray the plants down early before they go into flower? Everything I've read says to not spray anything once they are well into flower.

I just chopped the last of my outdoor plants early because I kept getting caterpillars in the buds causing rot. I cut off anything remotely close to rotting salvaged what I could.

Yes.....selective breeding. (And you can use BT during flower)

This year only 2 strains did not get phytoplasma etc so far: starfighter and my cherry sour mac.

Here is my cherry sour mac

White label or not, some of the seeds they have are definitely not trash.. I would 100% run their skywalker OG and OG kush again.

Icy, these are remarkable. I need to work on my soil and watering. I think I have the right genetics to get here, but have some learning and amending to do.

I am not saying it is perfect or that I didn't get any bud worm but I think a tobacco plant in the middle has more draw then pot.  Then you just have to watch and pick off and smash worms.

They are hard to find too. I was constantly on the lookout and most of the time only found them once they were rotting out a budget.

BT spray doesn't effect flower taste if you smoke it? Assuming I would need to taper off towards harvest?

Sunlight naturally breaks it down in 1 to 3 days and a light rinse/rain will wash it off completely 👍

The peony ring brings me back to Manifolding plants, aka mainlining, shout out to Nugbuckets for sure, building a "hub" is so much fun, and is a front-loaded process, reaping all the benefits at the end of the cycle.  I do this with my GDP clones I want to stall out for the next round, just build your plant, ready to bloom when you are.

I may have already posted this pic, but I was killing off a Block Head clone that I spent time building a 32 node monster, known to herm a little, so not a keeper, but this round hasn't showed any seeds yet, I'm sure I'll get a few in there.

At the tallest point, maybe 17 inches tall

Check out the GDP clones that are currently 54 days in, I shoved 4 of them in a 2x2x4 tent, it's a jungle in there.  GDP virtually has NO stretch, goes wider, but not much vertical.

The fire purps plant that im reversing is doing something cool. It appears only half of the plant is reversing.

I am hitting it with a 1:9 ratio mix of sts every 3 days right at lights out. I have applied it 5 times so far and just noticed this today*

Ps. Here is the clone compared to the mother:

Has anybody else grown Swaziland varieties?? Pretty sure they came from Derayyled.

It started huge but now it’s bushing out more than i expected. It also smells exactly like the stuff I used to smoke in the early 2000s in California. No sugary or fruitiness so far just a very strong funky/skunk sweet smell.

No, but I totally forgot I took a couple nugs off my outdoor starfighter plant, stuck them on top of my 3d printer, then legitimately forgot about them until now like 4 days later 🤣

They are perfectly dry and smell like gummy worms lol 🔥

Last season I grew a tobacco plant with my weed and it took the onslaught of pests
