I hardly ever do more than one or two trays in a growing cycle, but I’ve been bored lately so I filled up my whole Martha
The top three trays are Jack Frost
The second layer isATL#7
And the third layer is the same thing, but all it has done is turn into stones, I’m not interested in the harvest. I just wanna see what happens to them.
I did case one of the stone trays just to see what will happen

Anyways, even with Martha, I think it’s important to have the correct airflow so this is how I normally do my large grows

Yup, I'm an 80's to mid 90's kid no doubt, 9th grade, hangin' with an old rocker buddy of mine, he played bass, so a Cliff Burton fan he was, shit, we all were (are), RIP Sir Cliff, but Dana Carvey is always a riot, mixed in with Myers, wild duo combo for sure.  Shwing!

Pro stuff right there 99.99, each layer as you know I'm sure, can be DIFFERENT, airflow throughout the entire tent is vastly important! Especially when you pack in a ton of projects at once, I'm going to see soon how my Pink Oyster blocks like the enviro... WE shall SEE

P.S I usually like around 3 or 4 trays or tubs in at a time MAX, but I have gone wildly crazy with woodie blocks and cubes (Pans at times) all together in one, not that I prefer growing cubes in tents, tubs or bags are easier, but you can be successful fir sure.  Personally, I do better with cased anything, but I have done uncased a few times, be mindful of moisture, nothing like pouring off a tub or tray... it happens to us all playing with the settings hard enough.

Definitely diggin' that tent arrangement 99, nice spacing and doesn't feel clogged up in there, well done!

Each layer does have different airflow and humidity. I use the first tray for cubes.
The second tray is almost always ATL 7 and I normally always case them with Pete Moss right from the bag

I I have put the stones on the third tray, mainly cause I’m running out of room, but I almost thinking they are too dry to produce fruit
No idea one is not cased. The other is cased with Pete Moss.

The fourth tray I always put stuff down there after a flush to get them good and rehydrated

But altogether that’s 12 trays of product for that space I think 12 tubs would be considerably larger

PS I graduated high school and 84 lol

Idk I've had 12 tubs stacked on top eachother successfully unmodified for cubes xd

For exotics n others then defo tent is op ✨

Absolutely blood, tubs are too easy, but sometimes it's just the thrill of seeing... what if... or why not. I used to do first flushes (cubes) in a tub, then send it to the tent for a second to see how it does.  At that point, I'm already happy to harvest, freerollin' feels fabulous!

95 here, I had older friends your age, my buddy Chris who passed too young was born in 68, crazy I'm coming up on half a century, it doesn't seem real sometimes, but all good, I'm a Gpa these days, and it still doesn't register in my brain, but it be true.  Oh well, young at heart I say, reminds me of that old joke about the young bull looking down at the cows and says " hey let's run down there and fuck a cow.  And the old bull says... NO, Let's walk down and fuck them all.  Sucks when you realize you are the old bull in this scenario.  :hehehe:

Yo, I forgot the CAKE WARS update playing in all these threads, I have too many already.  :laugh2:

3 spore syringes, my first, freakin' hilarious to me, I kind of skipped BRF cakes and went straight to bird seed and Mono's.

Taz is an original cube I used to run for over a decade, it's from Pukesters back in the day when that's the only place I could get something to play... with.  Long story shortened, I had a few old syringes from him sitting around for 3+ years, one being Taz, Amazon, Cambo, BHT, and Z strain, I blew through the BHT, one of my favorites for Reg cubes (btw), but I wasn't in the printing phase... in those days.  Mind you, these are spore syringe open air inoculation days, flamed needle, some of you know the struggles we've been through to grow the fungus.  Anyway, so Taz was the only syringe that grew a small spot of growth, and... shook the jar a few times being a small myc spot, and boom, clean jar, the only survivor that would jump off, well the Z strain grew, but it was pinhead mold or cobweb, didn't stick around to find out.

The AA+ has its own story from the same source Ralph, as in Puke, this was my last purchase from him, I grabbed AA+ and his Strain Of The Month was F+, which I wanted a crack at too at the time. Both syringes contaminated, at the time I had just got into Agar work, glad I did, the F+, which was labelled AA+, was the only time I encountered Aspergillus Flavus, nothing to play with, and beyond my repair, or even worth my time.  The F+ syringe, was a fairly easy clean up, turns out running the genetics, it's AA+.  I went from getting clean spore syringes to contaminated work and mislabeling, I was definitely done with that source.  But the reason I keep them, is being from a tough state, he holds a small (tiny AF) spot in my heart to this day allowing me to play when that was my only choice.  It was weird because I had shot up his syringes many times over almost a 10-year span, but for some reason, I didn't this time working with Agar, and they say timing is everything, fuckin' A right!  I haven't run Reg cubes since maybe Avery A, or Dancing Tigers maybe, Trinity comes to mind, but I believe that's PE influenced.

The last syringe is APE PR, I ran this one in 23' I think, smaller thick fruits, I figured this one gave up nice pinsets for an APE strain, and gives up spores no problem, prints, swabs, doesn't matter, a ton of spores on the print.  This one is a random fleabayer buy, impulsive shopper at times, but nice genetics, I think I grabbed starry night APE too, this was when I was running nothing but PE/TaT varieties, Pearly Gates, TaT smurf to name a few, but yeah, we do what we do to play with exotics in the Golden State.  Anyway, that's the reason these 3 were chosen, older spores, so hoping they grow. I'm letting the spores hydrate more while waiting, I may hit a drop to a few plates to check em' out that way as well, or maybe the jars do nothing and the work is in progress, either way.

AA+ in a 20cc syringe

Standard Cake Recipe:

6 cups Verm
3 cups BRF
3 cups water

Perfect amount with a tiny bit of leftovers, no big deal.

The Ingeli tray in the tent is doing better being cased, the Eungai looks amazing, hoping for a really nice pinset with this one.  The Komodo/BVI is another overlay strain, but nothing like the Blue Springs, thank goodness.

Check out the surface of the newest Ingeli tub.  Beautiful!

Pink blocks are slow with the old pellets, but I am days away from dropping my first blocks in almost 3 years.  Really excited to get back to woodie blocks, they make me happy!

The NAT tub is slow to colonize, it's on the PE side of the spectrum for filling in the sub.  Oh well, take your time, I have plenty going on anyway, do YO' thang!  :peace:

Well, it's official, the NAT tub is slower than cubes without a doubt, today is day 14 from spawn, and she's still working out the kinks in a few spots, but it's close, looks amazing though so no issues there.  Pic from yesterday.

I did check on the half pints, not that I was expecting growth, not likely, but checking for contamination which usually happens in the first couple of days but sometimes hide well and you won't notice until later in the cycle.  NO worries, CAKE WARS situation, we got time.

I am finally getting some nice pins from the Ingeli tub in the tent, the ambient humidity today is nice, almost 60%, which is amazing for my area, so I dialed down the settings to 93.5 from 94 with the same differential... 2.5.

The Eungai tub is looking so good, high hopes for this one, the Komodo/BVI looks fine, slight beads, it's on track and doing Luvly like.

The new Pink Oyster blocks and Maitake are ripping through the pellets that I normally use for most of my work.  I'll have to get a pic, kind of a PITA bringing out blocks and moving them around with 12 in there, but in 1-week, crazy growth like normal oysters should do.  The slower blocks are just over 5 weeks, should never take that long, more like 2 weeks, maybe 2 weeks and change.

Oh, the Bisporus and Estero T-1's are looking perfect, wispy since the plates are agar only, but clean and doing what they do.

I'm going to get started on the Zaps and Semps to plates real soon.  I will be running Pans into October when I get back from the PNW (early Oct) then switch gears late Oct around Halloween, or early November, whenever my last projects finish out.  The plan is to spawn Bisp and Estero before I go, and come back to colonized seeds, or real close, obviously I won't be able to shake them to speed up the process, but no worries, "I'M ON VACATION" in my best Axel Foley voice.

The two new Ingeli tubs looks so good, I'm thinking of trying out a tub passively, one of the reasons I do this is to see if it's possible to run them without a tent, which most are, but more work, or is this a tent only situation for what I'm looking for in well-developed fruits.  I'm going to be playing with this one for some time, just going Pan crazy right now since I never have.

Almost forgot, I'm going to put the RustyWhyte on agar, and maybe make a spore syringe too, I've never grown this one, and with Pasty rockin' out in Cake Wars... should be fun guy and gal times... I have all sorts of ideas for Cake Wars, but I'll keep the suspense going... makes it more interesting.  Happy Friday and may your projects make you happy with bountiful and beautiful fruits.

:peace:

Oh damn, I didn't realize it's been three days since the last update.  How inconsiderate of me!  :laugh2:

Where to begin with all these projects in motion, so I shook up the new jars, the Branched Oyster, and the King Blue Oyster resurrection looks great, huge Labor Day sale so I have a shiitake on the way to get started.  Since the Bolles was contaminated (50% percent off, and rematch in order), rare, most of my LC's last for years, but hey, bacteria and mold spores are around for a reason, they do win rarely in my world.  Old syringe, it be what it be.

Really happy about the King Blue tho', looks fast and healthy, I'm waiting to shoot some Black Pearl, still a bit warm for those.

Block Party!

The left side is 4 Pink O blocks, and two BIG blocks of Branched Oyster, they are ready, just letting the bottoms fill in a bit more.

Begging to be fruited, check the PINK!

And... the newest 6 blocks, 4 more Pinks, and 2 hefty Maitake blocks that will be in the cabinet for QUITE some time... long term goals with Grifola Frondosa.  All good, took me 2 years to get Ps Cyans, I can wait 4-6 months, shiitakes are long too, about 3 months, but they pay off hansomly in the end.

Alrightie, Big update so I will take a break and get another post in later today hopefully, as long as I don't get sidetracked.

Well folks, I had a wonderful update prepared two days ago, and this system is done for, it will randomly shut off on me, slow AF like old school dial up, took forever just to get the taskbar icons to come up. Yessir this system is a WRAP... it's an old I5 I built for my kid 10 years ago, works fine for what I need (or needed) it for being an old gamer system, but many miles of travelling... time to put this ol' gurl to rest!

I am finally getting Ingeli pins with the tent tub, apparently, it's finally kicking in, there have been a few randoms popped, but wow, they are definitely like watching grass grow, or paint DRY!

I better post this before she crashes, I'll be back soon with new hardware.  Be well cultivators!

Alright, let's get this thread back in order here.  I've been wanting to do this Pan progression for quite some time, really excited to share.  Oh, I guess it did save some of the uploads, that'll werk!

I woke up to these last Saturday 9.5.26 around 11:30am, not my usual, but Cannabis and Hookah get together, what can we do!  Anyway, I didn't check on them Friday night, or in this case, early AF Saturday morning, more than likely they were already pinning.

9.6.26

9.7.26

Later that Night...

9.8.26

Evening shots before lights out...

9.9.26 Harvest Time... I dropped the humidity down .5 from 93.5 (for the last day), you can see how close to the line I'm playing with, some corner fruits with a little scarring, I LUV it!

It's a must for Nostalgic reasons... Pans are tough and can take it!

3 full trays worth, the above pic is a half-gallon jar for reference, there were fruits on top of each other, pins that were shaded out from density, YEAH, you could say I'm happy with Komodo.  Beautfiul too, light sandy tan in the beginning, then the reddish-purple spores with the tan, it really POPS in person.  I will definitely be keeping this one around.  Well, I better log this post, I still haven't went and grabbed a tower, I don't know what's holding me back, but Super busy with life lately, but this update was or IS overdue.  I hope yawl enjoy the SHOW!  Let's Grow!
