cool mist died.. insert into martha?

k... my cool mist is dead.. I read that you can place the cool mist into the martha, and cut slits in the side or holes or something, and this provides enough fae in a 5.5' martha..

Im confused.. how, without blowing air in, would it get enough fae to grow.. I just dont see how it could pull in that much air...

anyone do this? with just a cool mist inside? and no fans blowing in?

Not quite. Pumping from the cool mist to the greenhouse is what makes them shit the bed. Get a new coolmist and set it in the greenhouse for humidity, not air exchange. Then, cut slits and holes in the plastic to provide for constant air exchange naturally. The coolmist will provide humidity and circulation, and the air circulating past the slits will draw in fresh air.

so literally just take a razor and make some vertical slits all over it? how many and how long, and where?.. mine is about 15inWx15inLx5 ft tall...

I just thought of something.. I wanna use just my cool mist for RH and I am using casings.. So, if my cool mist was outside and piped in, I would have enough fae and RH with this setup in my martha... but, if I cut enough holes and slits to make enough fae, then It will make my RH drop.. or does having the cool mist in the martha actually make more RH?

My greenhouse is the size of two marthas and I run two vicks coolmists, one minute on-four to six minutes off, to get 95% humidity. I have slits and holes cut all over the thing. Lots of fresh air and lots of humidity is just what you want for best pinning. Tweak it until you get it just right. If you cut too many holes, you can always patch them.

yeah... My 2 tubs with one cool mist works great.. I get an awesome pinset everytime... well, looks like Im transferring everything to my new martha today.. I will probably post a pic or two..

well, good luck to me... I just hope it works... if you said it works, I gots to trust you... thanks... tell jess I said "ooga Booga".. she'll know what that means.. haha

sick.. i was just unsure of the fae,... i got it all hooked up now... just took scissors and started slicing it up and cutting "z"'s in its forehead... haha.. its literally just got slits all over it now..

GREYSTEALTH... how many and how big where your holes and slits just out of curiosity? I want to know if I overdid it, even though I can always just tape them up...
