Hopefully last transfers done. 4 transfers from 3 MS germination plates and 4 transfers from the ISO testing plates. I had started all of them on trench plates and waited for the mycelium to jump the gap.

I may throw an agar wedge into a grain jar from the ISO testing plates since it looks really good.
I'm making grain jars tomorrow for other stuff so why not toss an extra in for shits and giggles.

My iso test plates look good too; i think i’m going to squirt the rest of the syringe in some grain jars. I’m still not sure why these are being called “ spore isolates” instead of liquid culture. At any rate Goodtimes🤘

I think it's a way of getting around any grey area of the legality of liquid culture. I'm happy with it though. I'll try to get at least 1 plate up tomorrow of good mycelium. I use holy Grail plates, so I can't get good shots through the lid.

My lc test plates are never photogenic. It’s harder than you might think  to place a single drop in the center; instead it seems i’ve squirted all over the agar. Stupid mycelium clogging the needle.🤡. I will of course, take transfers to new plates but it seems wasteful to not use the remainder of the syringe.

Are you squeezing the barrel or the plunger to get one drop :strokebeard:

I did that first. Nothing was passing through the needle. I had to use the plunger to generate force sufficient to clear the obstruction. 👌

It's for credit card processing. Companies have a real issue with active liquid cultures for whatever reason.

Here's a plate I didn't hack up too much to get transfers from. This is MS. I don't have any good plates left of the ISO because I chopped them up for transfers and an in the process of recycling them to make more plates.






On another note I inoculated a grain jar with what I had left of the ISO syringe. I know, I know, bad, bad, bad, big worm, but fuck it I want to see if it'll work and I wanna see these in person. Wasn't much left but I let it sit for half an hour to get it to settle to the bottom of the syringe. If it doesn't work out gets bacterial oh well I still got plates going. If it works, then :rockon:

Personally if u got a isolate or lcu can put it to grain. Just smart to check if it's clean on agar n also cleanup/transfer a few times just incase
