Well, there was this one time when I was scuba diving in Honduras. The wet suit had to come off in one damn hurry…

I found the old post from an account I lost access to before making this one, back when I was just starting.



Broke college student dehydrator based on a DIY beef Jerky one. It honestly worked pretty well for a few cakes.

How big of a fire hazard do you think that is?

That’s sad, would be heart broken if mine did it.

Once I left the door unlocked and one them knows how to open doors, by jumping on the handle. Woke up in the early morning and heard really faint meowing. Turns out one of them had went floor below and one floor up in our apartment building. One was screaming at a neighbors  door to be let in, god knows for how long and another one was jumping on strangers door handle. But yeah, at least they didn’t get outside.

But when I was young and lived on the country side the cats might be gone for days before coming back. I really hope yours turns up. Has she done it before?

When the wife moved in she brought a cat. After a few days inside it escaped. The last time I saw that cat, it was chasing an albino squirrel across the street. It was never seen again in the last 25+ years.

One time my cat got out early in the morning at a place I was renting. I went out there into the night and started calling out to her until I actually heard her. She was in some random neighbors backyard. I very quietly went into their yard got my cat and brought her back home. I started taking her out on walks with a leash a couple years after that. She very rarely will try to just go outside by herself nowadays. Usually getting excited to go for walks instead.

Oh man, being a former crazy cat lady I really feel your pain, I have had that happen about 5 times, all 5 times they came home or was found and brought home, one had been to long without food and didn't make it, but the rest went to be 18 years, got my fingers crossed for you puff :hug:

Had a huge pure white long hair inside-outside cat, Sally, queen bitch of the neighborhood. Disappeared for 6 months. Gone.

I woke up one morning with her on my chest. Nobody in the house who had been up and left had seen her. No fucking way she snuck past anyone, big-ass white cat. She just appeared.

Vet said by her paws she'd been traveling for some time. I guess she was stolen and just came back. No fucking idea how she got in the house for me to wake up to her though. There's hope.

I'm so sorry about the disappearance, PuffM4gicDr4gon.

I have a German friend who told me the story of his cat, and I think back on it quite often.

Obviously, his cat vanished — for two months there was no trace of him. Until one day, walking past one of the neighbor's houses, he sees the neighbor with his cat. Naturally, he asks if he realizes that's his missing cat — to which the neighbor tells him to come inside, saying he needs to explain.

It turns out the neighbor was trying to hang himself in his garage, leaving the door slightly cracked so someone could get in and find the body. Just as he had everything ready, the cat walked in and sat right in front of him, staring at him.

The guy obviously didn't end up taking his own life, and the cat had no intention of leaving. My friend, of course, didn't want to take the cat back — the guy owed him his life. A fucking delicate situation...

It's one of those stories that completely blew my mind. Cats are from another realm.

Fingers crossed she shows up again.

On the cat thing- had an inside cat in a mountain village in central Europe. One super snowy night, smoking in the kitchen,  window open, ol Melvin got really curious and wanted to go out. From that window he could go anywhere, so let him go.

Left it open all night. Fucker came back around midday and slept almost 24 hours straight. He did it a few more times but was mostly content at home after that night.

He also beat up my gf at the time's big ass black cat. They were buds though. Those felines, good friends. Your boy will be back.

Sometimes a kitty just gets lost.  Try going around calling her. She might just be kinda scared hidden someplace not remembering how to get back.

Sorry to hear about your kitty ❤️!

Cats do like to adventure, but love to be home. If you have a blanket or bed that she likes, try placing it on your porch or in the garage with the door cracked and some food and water. She may just be out exploring and will come home for food and a comfy spot to nap.
