cultivating pans

i started some pans-i know that the mycellium is very fragile-i have them on birdseed-filter disk-is it ok to shake pan mycellium to spread it out?i know its fragile-

Thats a good question. I was kind of wondering that myslef. Id imagine you would wait a while longer, then shake. You'd think the mycelium wouldn't die....

could be very wrong but i think your supposed to let them go themselves. ive never heard of ppl shaking pans around. now let me ask you a Q: would putting a half inch of verm on top of the birdseed cakes like a pf jar be the ame as a filter disk?or is that your extra protection?

i am using birdseed-plan to spawn 9 1/2 pints to dung/compost-
so dont shake them?
