Germinating some seeds in water.

Gonna use coir. I have fresh stuff, Beats Peat Coir, same I use for cubes.

Buffering it worthwhile, or not? Note that this would be just for the seedling stage at the moment.

I guess I can grab a cal-mag supplement, but I do have epsom salts already for a DIY buffering.

Doing much better on my 2nd grow. Got about a QP from my 1st grow of 2 plants and 2 clones stuffed in at flower.

2nd round I had 2 clones I had been keeping barely alive for a month waiting for the tent to open up. Once they hit the nutes and lighting shit got real.

One recognizable mistake I made on my first grow was being way too conservative on watering and nutrients. AI did me dirty. A little experience has come a long way. Would be nice if my canopy was more even but this is huge progress from my last grow.

Look into lst plant clips. They really help  keep the plants orgsnized πŸ‘

I dont know why I hadn't thought of that now. I used them early on before the scrog net but that makes sense. Bring the aggressive down a notch

I don’t buffer coco for seedlings, but I do rinse the heck out of it.  The bricks especially can be extremely salty.

I buffer coir if I'm using it for anything more then a solo cup because it will pull the Cal and mag away from your plant. At least from my experience.

White label or not, some of the seeds they have are definitely not trash.. I would 100% run their skywalker OG and OG kush again.

I grew a couple plants of skywalker og that yielded over 18oz each... got those beans from seedsman years ago, still have a couple... smoke was pretty good

Been a minute since I had time to post but thanks for the seed ID/offer

Unfortunately the blue sage/dream and gods white banana kush didn’t sprout.

Currently I’ve got lcxcn, double chocolate, romulan pineapple, gorilla cookie auto x somango evo, Swazi, laoberry and peanut butter monster (I think that’s the M in PBM).

Gotta love the size of landrace seedlings

What seedbank or breeder has good Skywalker OG, Mac, permanent marker, GMO, and banana genetics? Don't care if they are different places. Looking for fem photoperiod for next year as I think I can run the lights when I shut my AC off and vice versa without overloading the circuit.
What is the best strain for arthritis, nerve, or just all around pain. Not necessarily on the list I have but best you all have had.

For the MAC, I'd say go directly from the original breeder "Capulator" . I've only grown the MAC1 from clone, but when wanting to grow a specific strain I'll always try to source from the original breeder that did the work.

As for "Banana" genetics...I'm currently growing "Banana Bread" from Twenty20mendo, which is "Honey Banana X Honey Badger", it is basically an early triggering/early ripening version of Honey Banana. Honey Banana is "Strawberry Banana (AKA Strawnanna) X Honey Boo boo". I had some "Honey Banana" buds a couple months back and I was impressed and surprised at how strong and distinct of a ripe-banana smell it had. The "Banana Bread" plants I'm growing right now smell just about identical to their mamma "Honey Banana". Smells like ripe bananas, sweet honey, vanilla/creamy, with a little bit of other spice & hash & tropical notes, overall though it straight up smells like a bowl of banana ice-cream, delicious! I've had a few other banana strains in the past, like Banana OG, but they were more like an artificial/candy-like banana smell, the Banana Bread and Honey Banana smell like real ripe bananas to my nose. Twenty20 has the Banana Bread and DNA Genetics has the "Honey Banana".

I can't vouch for 'em since I've never grown it, but I know DNA genetics also offers "Skywalker Kush" (Skywalker X OG Kush)

Smell report, now that all my plants are deeper into flowerings & resin production...

Like mentioned above, my Banana Bread plants have started to develop their essence. I was curious, and hoping, how similar they were going to be to their mother/Honey Banana and they're pretty much spot on with that distinct ripe/sweet banana & creamy/vanilla thing going on. One plant has a little stronger of a banana smell up front with other tropical notes in the back but they're both pretty similar.

Gazzurple...Very similar to my favorite pheno that I got last year. Gassy/spicy/woodsy/berries/grapes/floral, smells like a perfume or cologne, I loooove the spicy/woodsy notes it has in the mix with the berry/floral/gas.

Chicken n Wafflez...Similar to the C&W I grew last summer but a bit more citrusy/orangey, sweet maple/spice/citrus.

Sparklits...Skunky, kushy, sweet anise/fennel/licorice, a little winey/grapey, spice, rubber.

Early Bubba...So far not really smelling like the Bubba kush essence I'm familiar with (coffee, incense, spice, kush, gas), mostly a generic gassy/kushy/spicy so far but I'm hoping that the aroma becomes more complex deeper into flowering or the deeper/richer notes come out more so after drying/curing a bit.

Lemoncello...Gassy gas, sweet lemonade, spice, some mild doughy & sweet/tart berry notes. Smells amazing.

We had some rain here last week, had my plants indoors out of the wet and under a HPS for a couple days and they certainly liked the warm/dry air and direct light for a solid 12 hours through the day, they all swelled up quite dramatically in just a couple days

The Lemoncello looks like it'll be done in about 2 weeks, it's a clone and jumped into flowering super early mid-July.

All the buds I've hit with pollen appear to be successful, pistils have receded and I can see the calyxs swelling up.

A little "heat wave" coming through here this week, temps in the upper 70s/low 80s, which is record high temps for where I'm at, perfect for mid-flowering helping increase the plant's (and soil's) metabolism.

What’s up with these?
Lost one, definitely going to lose another..
All good, as long as one of them stays healthy.

Not sure if this is still damage due to the storm on August 20th? (A week after that is when the first one started to go),
Nutes? Pests? (I do see leafhoppers)…some are starting the same pattern of turning yellow, browning and dying.

Anyway, I can speculate all I want but honestly don’t know shit.
Help me out so I can do better next season!

First loss

Second loss

On the plus though I think 4 look untouched by whatever is happening, well, maybe… but there seems to be plenty of light at the end of the tunnel 😁

I’d suspect root damage, potentially overwatering caused by excessive rain or pooling water.
