Re: How to integrate my psilocybin experience into my life? [Re: syncro]

I'm a big fan of Tolkien and the whole cosmology of the universe he created. But an unsatisfactory aspect I have with it all, is this Good vs. Evil theme where evil is defeated, either destroyed outright or banished. At the core of this is Melkor/Morgoth, who is imprisoned in the Void.

From a psychological standpoint, it really comes across as a form of repression, denial. We take our parts that feel unacceptable, and exile them into the darkness. From the darkness, they don't cease to have power or influence... they actually exert their power in ever more twisted and confusing ways.

This all seems heavily built into the Abrahamic religions, at least as they are interpreted and practiced, although the scripture itself is heavily dosed with it, too.

Yoga means union. How do we re-unify all things, all parts, all beings. By correcting perception. We see that they were never separate in the first place. Placing evil outside of ourselves is an attack thought, a projection. It masks the reality that we are each creators of our reality, responsible for every experience that we have. Not to blame, but to empower - to free us to create in more fulfilling ways.

War is a symptom of forgetting... who we really are. Play and dance and creation and spontaneity and vitality and regeneration... are getting closer to the Source?

However apparently it depends on where dimensionally, karmically.

"Uncanny visions arise in my mind: of timeless evil, and a battle older than the earth, which has been fought before on countless worlds, in forgotten ages. Even after this battle of Lanka, the war shall be fought again and again; until time ends, and dharma and adharma with it." -Rama

Well we better get on with the ending of Time, then!

:awemazing: Is that image from Avatar?

Salar Aghili - Poem Of The Atoms;
"[Intro]
Each and every particle in the air, in the plain
Watch it carefully, it is [so] enchanted just like us
Each and every particle, joyful or glum
Has lost its heart to the gleeful self-existent sun

[Verse 1]
O sun, rise so that particles begin their dance
The one who makes the stars and sky dance
Makes the souls dance, jump with joy
Let me whisper into your ear where they dance

[Verse 2]
Each and every particle in the air, in the plain
Watch it carefully, it is [so] enchanted just like us
Each and every particle, joyful or glum
Has lost its heart to the gleeful self-existent sun"

About the war and repression, picture it this way. There is an entity you can subdue, and in some degree therefore pass judgement. They are cruel. They don't change per se by dharmic thought. You may kill them but you don't want to kill, so you say, send them down below for now. Not a judgement of damnation, but to put them in some lower astral away until wisdom and time can do what they will.

It doesn't negate that much can be penetrated with truth or love. But it's a logic about it.

Ya, Avatar. Was thinking of the tree of souls...

Reminds me of a Ram Dass story of Maharaji, apparently quoting Kabir: “Do what you do to another person, but never put them out of your heart.”

Yes, the men under the mountain will be called. When they get a spark of memory, hearing the words of the king, that helping others is the way to help oneself, they may rise.

Also in the Shannara series, some novel in which I always have cued up - far back in history the elves used earth magic to send the demons and dark creatures into a void called the forbidding.

This darkness where enemies are held I'm picturing in the alchemy where darkness is held up with the light, not destroyed or disregarded, as two spheres. I don't recall understanding processes after that in integration, or maybe it is the thing as there is balance and empowerment.

I feel I identified with the picture, but keeping the two spheres is kind of over my head while more emphasized is a purification of the darkness which we can do in our field, the extension unknown.

In the novels, a tree holds the forbidding intact, the Elcrys. The tree of life itself controls the darkness while life reaches for the sun.
