Yeti Clone Grow * 4
    #29613103 -

This is the grow continuation of the Learning BRF cake Log

Teks

Agar recipe
10g agar
7g LME
2g nutritional yeast
2g charcoal

I only have grown Yeti once and it was not what I had hoped for. So doing it with a clone from a BRF to see if the results are better

6/27

Clone selected and transferred to agar

7/4

Well something went tits up. Contam satellites everywhere. Grabbed two spots and moving on

7/7

Well. Gonna take one sample each plate and these should be good to go! So onto T2

7/9

Change of plans. They grew out nicely. Grain prep has begun.

7/20

5 days agar sat on grains and 48 after BnS

8/12

Well I definetly didn’t Stipe tek the one tub properly.  But a solid cluster at least.

This tub I clearly did better. It’s behaving more like Stipes would have it done.

8/12

That cluster was wilding out so hate to clip that shit.

8/18

I chucked the other tub cause needed space and then I saw I was gonna be harvesting all THIS today.

Looks good, one day I may try my own plates and cultures.
Next go around Imma get a syringe of yeti and give them a try. I've been interested in them for awhile. I have tidal wave, white club, makilla and twape going on their second flushes currently.

Nice collection! TWAPE has been a pain for me so far.

Thank you as well!!

Still got the other tub to go with this log. But I like tracking to make sure I’m efficient in my production.

Ya I haven't had the best with twape either. I'm skipping it next go around. In bags at least it's real finicky. I've gotten about 10 grams dried from its first flush while the others have given 1 oz plus out of 3lb grow bags. But it is making more fruits so I'll see how it goes. I don't expect it to give me massive amounts. But the next time I run it imma do 2 or 3 bags and try different conditions for each one. It seems to like alot of fresh air exchange compared to others. I'll be happy if I can get another quarter or so from it. I may try to put it in a fruiting chamber as even with a rubber band on the bags it's trying to set fruit on the sides. To maximize on it I'm considering setting up a tub to finish the block in.

The only one I've ever had completely fail was APE. I may try it again in the future. APE crosses though seem to do well usually.

Oh I understand. APE drives me crazy.

TWAPE being the one hybrid I have issues with. lol

I got jars of SNAPE going. Though it’s not a cross I’m hoping it’s easier than APEs

I've seen snape on some of the supply sites. It'll be on the list one day. I like to do 4 or 5 strains at a run. Tidal wave I order every time and the plan I've started is to choose 2 or 3 new strains to try out every new run just to see what they are like and how they grow. For me at the time being all in one bags are just the best and easy. But I may try some agar plates and spawn bags to substrate. I'm going with 5lb bags this next run. I'll inoculate in about a month. If something goes wrong with a bag it's easy to trash and not lose a whole tub. With any hobby I pick up I usually end up going deep into it.

With the ape it inoculated and colonized just fine even produced pins then they all just died. Tried scraping the surface with a sterilized fork. Got a few more pins even some small mushrooms then they terminated. So idk what's up with it. Since I've had more luck with twape Imma try it again next year first.

In about a month the next run is tidal wave, jack frost, Brazilian, ochra, and albino bluey vutton. Split between 10 5lb bags.

Since the kids are leaving today I get to enjoy my spoils.
4g of tidal wave going down the hatch later.

I'm coming from the cactus side of all this. Been growing them for years now. So this mushroom world is still pretty new to me. The cactus just takes so long to grow out, I needed something else in the mean time.
You can have hundreds of cactus, still doesnt make them harvestable size any faster. Then when they are, you don't always want to harvest right away. Because you've out so much time into them.
