Do all you guys just use the glass slide ‘covers’?  What does “pre-cleaned” mean?  Do they come sterile or do you pc them?  I never tried with a roof but did this:

Haha fuckin Reddit

I submerge my covers in alcohol, remove them with tweezers then burn off any excess with a flame.

Happy to help, also saw Scemilope use these small glass mosaic tiles as roofs. I have to cut my slides in half which can be a PITA.

Why not just use some of these...</font>

They are super thin, I did get them, but when I felt how fragile they are I didn't want to use them :uhoh:

My man, you know what, if we just get a $500 microscope it wasn't money down the drain.

Any of you tried some kava kava roots with pans? Is it a good mix that wont lessen the experience?

I've got my first flush of TTBVI.  I know how to tell when cubes are ready to harvest but what should I look for with these tiny fruits?

Thanks buddy 🤝 But that block turned blue twice because it got over-dried 😁 Normally, I don’t grow anything during the summer because of the heat, but that one was part of my long-term battle against Mycogone. I spent two years trying to recover the culture. I wouldn’t want to give up on my first ones ☝🏻

Woohoo finally got my first successful pans grow! Had a lot of issues in my dreamer tub at first with severe drying of the surface but then I made some drastic changes to the fans with a timer and managed to salvage it. My dreamers seemed to keep like 98% rh by themselves with 2 big trays in there.

I used 1 qt of millet spawn per tray with 2 qt coir and 1 qt composted sheep manure

Got a couple trays of TTBVI. Took some pics every 24h

Tray 1:

Last pics before I harvested today. The 2nd Tray had a lot of overlay for unknown reason but it did pretty good regardless. Could it be too thick casing?

Im happy that they look healthy. Im drying them now at 135f. I wonder how much dry weight this will yield.

What can be changed for future grows to try to get bigger mushrooms? More spawn or more manure etc.?

Very nice.  What did you end up going with for your fan times?

Pans are just small but especially ttbvi.  You can clone a nice big one and hope it grows out around that size.  You can also try lowering your ratio but the pin set can be reduced.  They’re gonna give ya what they’re capable of giving you.. if there’s a lot of them, they’ll be smaller.. if they’re bigger, they’ll probably be less of them.  Personally, I’d have let them go longer.  There’s a lot of immature fruits in that “before harvest” pic but I also mostly grow for the pic.  You’ll have more spore dump from the early birds but you can also just cut the caps off those or pick em.
