I love Mike Patton, a musical genius.

Saw him at the Quart Festival in 2003 with Tomahawk and again in 2005 with fantomas.

I have insurance that covers therapy to an extent. I'm hoping that I can get a good base to work with in a few sessions. Just spent the last few hours typing part of the history of my childhood. That fuckin sucked. I think that's part of why I have been avoiding therapy because I did not want to have to recall all of that shit. Fuck, man. I'm gonna grill a steak, drink a bottle of wine with it then bash myself in the head with the empty bottle until I lose consciousness.

I'm sorry that I have made this thread so much about me and my therapy mission lately. I would rather post silly stuff and be goofy. You guys are all I have to talk about this stuff. You guys get it and have such good advice. Good advice in general, really. It's always a good convo in here. Mush love to you.

By the way, where's flapping bird? I haven't seen him in here for a while. He's another one that made a positive impression on me.

i've been busy running around doing burn prep.

I confess I was very stoked after making a sick pair of parachute pants out of a godzilla themed shower curtain but I played myself on the fabric placement and there's a big fleshy spike in a rather inopportune location.

gotta sleep on it.

messy thing, life. winds blowing every which way. i feel like a lump of clay that's gotten real warm. very malleable. prime for reshapings of various sorts. but what kinds? it's not clear yet, and the feeling of sliding and slumping and never being able to quite stay the same or be still or steady is... flavorful, to various effect. sometimes nice, sometimes less. just noticing.

I also confess that I forgot there were 3 fahtlocks and like 40 plates in the lab, and a massively triched out 20qt in the guestroom. future rasmo's problems, let it rideeeeeee even to trichtown. sometimes you just gotta take the green line.

oh and i can go on the marketplace now! that's exciting. whatever fruits next is probably getting printed to hell and back.

I think one of the big questions we have to make ourselves is whether we will let the universe model the clay, or let ourselves model the clay?

In the end, it might not matter who models the clay, but the attitude towards life that the answer brings makes a difference.

One of the best things about therapy is that you can rationalize and accept internal trauma. You learn to bring it out of under the carpet, stare at it for hours, befriend it, and become pleasantly acquainted by its presence.

Your trauma will never leave you, it is part of what makes you, you. What leaves you is the pain that it causes.

Gilmour don't be sorry. I have appreciated reading about your personal experiences (both good and bad), and although I haven't contributed directly thus far, I would venture to say that you're a really good guy with problems just like everyone else and you're doing your best to solve them. Never feel the need to excuse yourself for sharing valid setiments and real life experiences that everyone can basically relate to. I appreciate your candor as well as your presence here and elsewhere in the forums. Stay the course, and don't forget to forgive yourself and take it east when you can. Self care, man. I'm a mess too lately, been thinking about getting into it here or in... relationships :eek:

I'm into a bit of therapy,  sometimes it seems to make things harder as your dysfunction is more visible, and your defense mechanisms - aka coping mechanisms lol - are under review. it's like, hey, wow, I'm a total basket case! :crazy2:

Man I do not remember how to make spore syringes. Here's hoping for the best, I basically scraped what I could into a pp5 container with sterilized water, swirled it around, and hoped that it was enough.

Yeah getting to that part is the hardest for me too, mostly because my brain found ways to just hide everything.

It's difficult to go through and process everything, but I highly recommend doing your favorite activity to loosen up and getting a note book and just write what comes to mind as it comes to mind with no expectations.

You don't have to talk about or intensely process everything that you've been through, but sometimes having notes or examples you can discuss at therapy can be a life saver. The worst part of me was going in blind and not having a good idea of what I wanted to go through.

I also personally found writing things down to be therapeutic in its own way. Some of them I choose not to read ever, but putting it to paper was enough processing it into the universe for me to be okay with it.

Elcho, I have never had to recall the first 18 years of my life in the way I did last night. Holy shit. There's a lot I forgot about. No wonder I was so screwy as a young adult. If I can just get past some of the anxiety I experience in certain situations, my life will be so much better. It's all in my head, I know, but how do I get around that. That's part of the goal here.

Thank you, fiddle_head. Self care is it in a nutshell. You're right. I told the therapist about this thread/group. I didn't name the website or anything but I told him I had a support group full of anonymous people sharing their experiences to help each other through difficult times. He thought that was a very good thing.

I confess I took a gummie and didn't tell my wife, and we had beers at the lake in a thunderstorm, and then at our pub (and I took another), and now at home she's cooking (something awesome) and she axed me to put music on and I put Kool and tbe Gang Celebrate side two and it's FUCKING AWESOME and we're all vibing and I know my wife she knows I'm fn trippin and it's all cool.

Also I confess I wanted to run some grains in the PC but that AINT HAPPENING TONIGHT!
