Thanks man, it's always a good feeling when something works out and I hope your trays does awesome for you

We've been having a long as heat wave that has made all my pans doing weird shit on plates and shitting the bed in my AIO bags(this tray was grains to pasteurized substrate) because of crazy condensation(I think) so I'm hoping this one makes it all the way so I can stock up on Bispo prints and get a win :awesomenod:

The Chlorocystis trays that was spawned the same day have 3 pins

my mistake. substrate 30% straw...is that wheat straw you're using or some other type of straw?

No worries, I checked the bag of straw it just says wheat and other grain crops, I believe it's mostly used for bedding in stables and such.

Wheat and Barley straw probably the most common, but it could be any grain, it doesn't matter Oats, Rye it's just the leftovers from removing the hulls and grain.  I just pulled a stalk out of my tomato area (the other day), it was dry to the bone, as expected, wheat seeds.

I guess I can put wheat on my list of things grown (every year with straw mulch for gardening), too easy being a freebie.  Be careful, there are seeds in the straw, I actually had more pop up with chopped straw, less in the full bales I get that last for many seasons.  Off to make some wheat bread with my 5 seeds.

Oops, forgot the Pan pics, check these out, this sub had a tiny spot of Cobweb (doesn't anymore, didn't like that high heat outside, assuming) 3rd flush (early pinning indoor) so I sent it outside into an old Mono Tub (I call her frankentub, it's been through all sorts of configurations) with 1 layer of MP tape on each of the 6 holes.  Yup, worked nicely keeping that dry wind off the tub, with plenty of air, the lid was also unlatched, no flip or anything, too extreme hot wind outside.  Outdoor adventures in the valley, free fruits always makes me smile, these tubs have given me more than I need already.
Happy Friday everyone, hope you view Pan pics like I do, photogenic... absolutely!  Enjoy!

True. This way, there's no uncolonized substrate left for contaminants to establish themselves, and once the substrate is fully colonized, the mycelium tends to fruit upward because that's where the conditions are most favorable.

You will get there, the hardest part is getting a decent culture, I had 4 and kept one, all the rest trash, it takes some patience, but once you have something worth going forward with, the process is SO fast.  If you want to go further, find you a clone or two, and run those and see how they do, it's endless opportunities to succeed, or at least learn how to possibly succeed in the future.  Believe you me, we all have been humbled by Pans at one time or another, it's just the way it is.  Lost a tray last night actually, who knows why, clean culture, plenty of air, it's what it be playing with these.  Either way, 9 trays going in the chamber... sorry 10th... booted outside.

Spawned this on the 15th, first tray of pans. How much longer do I let this colonize before casing? Thx!

That’s quite a long time for pans to be colonizing.  Take the lid off and take a pic.  What ratio did you make the tray at?

Do you have some kind of ventilation in that lid?  They need to breathe while they colonize.  I have two 1/8” holes in the lid and then it’s barely snapped on.. like I lay the lid on the tray and then just lightly push in the middle of the long sides until I hear one snap and that’s it.  Those lids seal super well and allow no GE

Thanks for the welcome! I very much appreciate the it.

I've only had Pan's once, it was my second time taking shrooms and I had .5g dried, it was hard core and the most enjoyable experience of my life! I had the most crazy open eyed visuals that I cannot even put into words, I couldn't talk or move but I was the most relaxed I have ever been, I hope I can experience it once again! It was the most profound enjoyable experience I have ever had!

I just read part of your Pan Cyan thread and I will read it all, when you said that .5g can get you in deep waters, I have to 100% agree, if you are someone who has anxiety or not of a strong mind, it's enough to be a really bad time! You do really have to let go and let it take you to where it's going to go and absolutely trust the fact that you will be ok and it will come to an end, and if you can manage that and don't try to fight it you will have the best experience of your life, as I did!

Great pin set for the bisporus. So now you have the fan running continuously st the lowest level rather than in 15 minute bursts?

Yes, I finally got the same fans Pheno uses, the one with 10 speed steps, I'm running it on the lowest setting.

And Blakey, the sub recipe above is one of the new ones I said I'll get back to you after trying it, seems to be working good.

I can't stop looking at this pinset. Ty for sharing.
