Also I'm gonna be real, I'm just excited to make a flag for my cakes. Ever since I saw them in CW2 it's been on my mind.

I know I saw it in another thread… but do we need to wait to Sept. 1 to inoculate? Haven’t done this tek since I learned it here in 2006-2007ish and used steam to steralize…. Just to inoculate in open air :crazy: I bought everything I need, just need to plan my timeline.

Do some practice runs! I had never done BRF before and started messing with it at the tail end of CW2 and still had a couple cakes that could have made it in time. So would assume we aren’t allowed to inoculate until Sept 1

Half-pint (250mL) wide mouth jars are strongly recommended for speed, and one can always use jars of their own choosing.
