A while ago I put up a post called fucken with the cakes 2. What I was saying is that if you don?t like to do casings for some reason or are just really fond of cakes you can try this if you want. You can dunk these between flushes. Take as many cakes as you want and break them up like your doing a casing. Let them grow for together for a week and fruit.
Do I think that doing this is better than casing the brf, yes. Do I think it?s better than casing rye berrys or horse- cow poo, hell no.
Here is a brf cake just getting started.

Looks like all that standing water is going to make for some nasty contams and insufficient humidity... not to mention it drips everywhere

cant water with perlite also get contamed and cloudy? unless you change the water daily

This chamber is just for testing and humidity is one of the tests. The only thing I've noticed since adding the extra humidity and I mean a lot of it is twice the pins in half the time.
Just for kicks I added 2 humidifiers a coolmist that runs all the time and a ultrasonic that goes on every 3 hours for 2 minutes. Since doing this the amounts I get per cake went up so much I won't stop until I see a contam. The chamber holds close to 70 cakes. There have been 4 batches so far and I have never seen a contam.

I just recieved my hydra-pod today, and that is how i'm going to give it a shot, i want to make one MASSIVE brick like that and put it in there!!

Yeah Im with ya Magash, cakes and shit can take quite a bit actually before they get badly contaminated to the point you need to worry......still it's always good mantra to say... "It's never clean enough"

I think I may be coming off wrong I want you all to know I agree with all of you. I shouldn't have water in there, my humitidy should be lower, my problem is that every time I do something to fuck with the cakes (the name of the post) they do better than there suppose to.
The chamber has 70 cakes in it and the avrage was 56 dry grams per every 7 cakes. I know it's not the best yeild but it's not bad. Remember I'm fucken with them to get all the information I can, then feed it back to you guys to use or laugh at or whatever as long as someone can use it for something.
I am aslo getting ready to post results from the chamber I use to test casings.

No I still came off wrong, give me all the criticism you can and any tests that you think I should try. Your comments are cool, keep them coming.
A lot of what I'm doing is based on what I read here. I have to admit that over 500 grams dry on the first test was pretty cool, even if it took 70 cakes to get it. From what I have found 8gr per cake is about average.

8 g per cake sounds about average, so you're doing good. Hey as long as your shit keeps growing shrooms and not growing green, keep doing what your doing, but I think that water looks real mean.
