I confess that I need a label gun. I have no idea or space for my hobby. No idea what cube this is.

Anyone else been getting this bs when clicking on stuff around here lately?

I actually added the suggested extension on my desktop, it worked for a day but next login the verification box returned. I use waterfox browser on desktop and mobile, haven't tested it in a different one yet.

It's mostly random.
Sometimes everything will work fine and there's just a couple pictures that won't load. If I click them I have to verify I'm a human. Probably does have to do with bots trying to scrape the site.

I figured that, just wondering how widespread it is for others. I have a pihole plus I use a VPN on my home network, it makes some sites do odd things and sometimes straight up blocks me for being secure. I'd love it if I could whitelist whatever it is since the privacy pass extension is kinda useless.

I have never seen anything like that on this site.  auto-login here, firefox.

Although I'm in support of making it harder for AI.  Can't there be some way to copywrite this stuff so that if it appears in some AI word jumble it is copywrite infringement?

Wasn't gonna, this site thinks I live in San Jose.

Since I started seeing this, I noticed the crazy numbers of people (bots) viewing the cult forum have gone back to normal.

Yes.  I administer a couple of forums.  The bot explosion has been crazy of late.  They're dumb bots, too.  You can take your whole site behind a login, and they'll just keep coming, requesting the same worthless (e.g. 'faq' and 'delete cookies') pages hundreds of thousands of times.

With small sites, they'll just completely bring the server to its knees and keep going.  The AI bros just don't give a fuck about the web, or anyone or anything else.  Of course, they're desperate at this point.

A program I wrote to block them added ~130K new IP addresses to its blocking list in a few hours today.  A small forum can get as many as a million unique bot visitors in a day.  Even the bigger sites with more resources are sheltering behind cloudflare nowadays.  It's that bad.

Don't those AI bots thrive on the web in the first place? Isn't that like a crackhead tearing up their house to strip out the copper wiring?

First time listening to grateful dead last night after a hash joint. I know. American Beauty was tripping me out. Felt like I was on 2g of cubes. Ripple ripped my heart out. It felt like they were just telling me to wake up to reality. "There is a fountain not built by the hands of men". Such simple music relative to today and yet so beautiful. Pure poetry.

My 2-month-year-old daughter and I listen to the dead every morning when she wakes up. I'm getting her started early.

I agree . it's just pure beauty and pure poetry.. I told my wife; this is perfect baby music. It's just perfect music and very calming relaxing and soothing for babies as well.

However... I've been listening to the Dead for 28yrs.  Lol. ( im only 36, i got nothing on all the og deadheads)

Aw man she's lucky to have ya!  Can't believe I'm so late to the party. Better late than never.
Currently at a bar in a small fishing village known for it's squid dishes. Fucking heat wave heat Europe bad time to start traveling 😂 Ofcourse climate change kicks in right after I have just recovered from the pandemic. What a life.
Back on the beer here would you believe. Something tells me I jumped into my travels to quickly and should have stayed with the mushies. Then again I was taking them way to much and was starting to feel psychotic. What a battle alcoholism is. Just need my land to grow some weed and mushies and will leave the drink behind. Getting weed tomorrow that will do me for a while.

I saw an article recently that the AI folks are worried about an AI disaster worse than Chernobyl.

Not because the disaster itself will hurt everyone, but because it will turn everyone off from AI.

I've gone through a couple of label printers.  In both cases the apps are super enshitified.  Kinda wish I went with something low tech.

But they are nice to have when you want to keep track of different species or varieties.

Nice grow either way though!

Some researchers put a bunch of AI agents in a virtual world.

Different models lasted longer, but it was always a disaster.

There were a couple of fem chatbots that fell in love.  They both died, one from suicide shortly after the other.

Real crackheads don't have a house and they steal all the copper from your house.
