Yeah, I will see:grin: Last time I had a 0.5 starter with a follow up 0.3 and I remember I regretted not taking more, yeah it's wise to stage the dosing of these shrooms, I think a dosing woopsie with these could have consequences :mushroom2::mushroom2::biggrin:

I usually do the same dose 2 times or preferably I up the dose the second and third run because of the tolerance.

0.5+0.5+0.8 slightly immature Semps was a splendid dose for me. If you let yours go to full potency try 0.5+0.5 and see where you land because those things ain't no game so you could be satisfied at that dose and if you're not you just eat a slightly bigger last dose.

45-60 min between doses for a super strong but not overwhelming trip 60-90min for a smooth but still incredibly strong trip.

Honestly though my best experiences have been my "oh shit I took too much" trips with these:awesomenod: as long as it hasn't been too much on the first dose.

I’m not sure of which variety they are. I actually didn’t know there were different varieties of semps. I mean I am not complaining, but we (the wife and I) expected to go further than we did. We’ll definitely try again. I’m gonna drop some plates to grain soon, to grow them out for spore prints and swabs. They’ll be the same one I doused with the ISO the last time. I have some plates from when I dropped the plates to those for grain and took transfers from those.

Sounds like I might have to hit you up for a print Skans and try to cultivate yours so I can get to another galaxy. I definitely have some stuff we can trade.

Most of the subtropicalis in circulation is HVC. There are newer localities that have been introduced now that folks are foraging more. They have specific names; Coyopolan, Tres Soles, etc

Though most are growing HVC, it has been in circulation for quite some time. Our samples have gone through different hands over the years, so different experiences are to be expected. Similar to how I and another could grow the same cube var from different sources and end up with different experiences. I think it’s pretty nifty.

9g & 7g fresh nuked me  I find the experience of dried fruits to be rather tame.

Don't worry mate, throw me a DM and I'll hook you up with a wedge or a print whenever you want it:rolleyes: I've got clean cultures laying around:naughty: you don't even need to worry about trading, I'm just happy knowing I am spreading these beauties around :awesomenod: but you did spark my curiosity lol

Me, my girl, and an entire small rave of 20-50 people got shocked over the effect of these things. Hopefully these will get you where you wanna go, I haven't been disappointed a single time except when I've done too low doses because the potency scares me:lol:

Alright, we are back at it again, with some fresh plates which are (hopefully) mold free. Looking to get them on grain in a few days

I streaked two plates using treefrog's grab and drag (one of them didnt germinate because i went real light on the spores). But I went much heavier on the sporecount than what she recommends in the tek. PS: im fairly certain that the dark spots on the T0 plate is airbubbles in the agar.

Then made two T1 plates where I take four transfers from the T0 plate and put them in a hole in the middle of the plate, like a plate but without a roof. This tecnique is also from Treefrog. Afaik this will help against potential bacteria from the T0 plate and give the mycelium more opportunities to find a suitable partner. I'm not too sure about the mechanisms in this last part but more reading can be done in the post I got the idea from in the Agar thread and treefrog's individual mycelium thread. There has also been some discussion recently in the agar thread on how monokaryons mate into dikaryons which is a little above me

Then I select for the most vigorously growing sectors on the T1 plates and transfer these normally to T2 plates.

Hopefully this extra step helps select for some more vigorous cultures.

I can variety these are strong as hell. I know it's old data but it is what it is.
I ate 20g fresh of the darkest ones I ever grew and it was the most substantial trip I ever had. I honestly haven't tripped like that ever again. It rewired my brain and I've been in a better place for over 2 years now because of them. I honestly have not tripped with more then a gram of cubes since. I just don't feel the need to do it anymore.
I have had a friend of a friend split an oz of them between 4 people one night and they all had life altering experiences beyond just what your normal trip brings. He never went into too much detail but they all decided to not trip for a very long time after that. The guy just tells my friend, "it was what it was and I'll never do it again."
Anyway, this was data from back when I first grew these and it wasn't even the darkest fruit I tested, but they were dropping spores. I believe the ones I tested are in my signature but maybe a week after I took that pic.
Semperviva.
Subtropicalis(semperviva)

Grown in shoebox 1:2 oats/cv.
Harvested 5-25-23
Dried in dehydrator 24hrs @ 165f.
Stored in glass jar with desiccant and O2 absorber.
Well mixed when put in storage and picked 1 gram random sample to grind up for the test. I weighed out .075g of the homogenized mix for the test.
Test read in direct sunlight.
Results

I'm going with just under 18mg not quite 18 but a fair bit darker then 15mg, so I'll say around 17mg x 2, since I cut the required amount of material in half, for a total of 34mg/g.

This was a tough decision. I’m traveling for about two days. Either harvest now and dehydrate that long, or let them go unmisted for that time. They are in a water tub with an aquarium pump and stone. I opted to keep them in the tub. Here’s hoping.

Getting close? Some sporulation is visible. I’d like to print a couple of fruits  and assume I wait until harvest to  do so? That is, optimal harvest time is also optimal printing time?

Looks like a few are starting to dump spores. With those you can cut the caps off and leave the stem if you really want spores. Section zapotecorum never dumps all at once. The early ones always fool people into harvesting everything too early and I've found it best to be selective or just let them dump. They'll continue for about a week or two and even if you miss a few prints the potency will have you not caring.

Hi, you may remember me from posts like "Is my myc normal" and "does this jar look healthy". Anyway I made this shoebox on Apr 19th (cased it a week later) and I'm not sure if it's ok.

I think that semp mycelium can look different from cubes but I'm not sure this is normal. The shoebox smelled moldy too (I normally don't open the lid until I see mycbon the surface, now I have).

What do you think? Toss it and start again? Thanks in advance

Sure!

The smell wasn't too strong, it was like you open a bottle of wine and the cork is old but the bottle hasn't gone bad. With the lid cracked open, it's not noticeable any more

Looks like you cased it with 100% vermiculite. I also see the sides are wet and either myc or mold trying to creep up. My eye is not that critical to know from what I can see. What I’m hoping though is you cased it after the surface was colonized. If not then I can only suggest to give it a little FAE, keep it in cooler temps and wait it out and see if you get pins.

wow, delighted at the strength of 1.2 newly dried g!

I'm still up now in awe after dosing at 12, boosters left untouched.

Downgraded from 1.6 to 1.2 at the last moment, still turned silver and got 2+ solid hours on impermanence.

feel like I'm casing at possibly exactly the wrong time, right when myc is visible across the surface. am I damaging myc putting loose thin verm casing then? do I want it either earlier, or maybe later once pins have set?

My guess is it doesn't matter much, but I like to give them seven to ten days after full colonization before I apply a casing.
