People think I'm insane because I dump grain quarts all the time

Man, I do this with all kinds of songs and sing them to my wife. Like if she’s in a pissy mood, it can bring her out. Albeit, sometimes it makes it worse, usually if I toss in some far-fetched sexual innuendo. But 100% of the time I get a chuckle out of it, and that’s what matters 60% of the time…

…or sumpin’ like dat.

:whathesaid:

I always do that, too. Most often I ridiculize drill rappers or any other cheesy hiphop genre. My wife is always like whuuuuu?!?, which is cool, after eight years. The kick is getting more than four bars out that either rhyme or are in perfect metrum. That's difficult with more than 160 bpm.
Whenever I stumble it always ends with 'No one knows, no one knows, that I eat living kids' or 'And I never believed in Christ, fuck yeah' (in Dutch). My son chanted that in the stroller at age two.

People say it's a typical ADHD thing.

Hahaha glad to hear I'm not the only one! I can definitely relate to both the blasphemic toddler and the dangerous game of trying to get your spouse to laugh, too.

I started off with a whole system of big-ass flat tubs stacked on top of each other. One filled with substrate, the other flipped and stacked to form a lid. It worked pretty well, but my spawn was all vendor-spores-to-grain roulette wheel shit. Kept at it right through the early agar days, when I still really had no clue what I was doing and my spawn had MAYbe graduated to blackjack level. A few catastrophic losses led me to start doing shoeboxes to isolate all my quarts. Then I finally realized that I just like them better. They stack and fit random spaces nicely, I can easily pop them out to grab side and bottom pins, and they fit in my sink and dishwasher. The bigger tubs get used to transfer old shoebox substrates to,I can still fit three shoeboxes in one to give them more room for side pinning. And because I had started with the shallow tubs, they also stack on top of each other quite nicely. There's also just a bunch of random stuff in storage throughout the house, in tubs with holes in the side of them lol. To go back to larger vessels, I'd want to scale up my space. And by that, I mean, work in a barn with an industrial kitchen and giant custom shelves or something.

Brrrelp! My Big Hairy Trucker Growset (TM) has sprouted these... things. They're not hairy and they sure as hell don't have a driver's licence. I tried the thing where you run around and flap your arms, but it didn't help. Tried wearing a Zorro mask and fanning my mister, to no avail. Now how do I get my freight across the Strait of Hormuz?

(I really need to trip, feel like I've got brainworms or something. Don't know what it is, but stuff is getting at me atm. Please remind me tomorrow that I really should trip)

Tbf I wouldn't want to work in an underwater mine, inhaling all that dust is half the fun.

Edit: oh ah, see what you mean. No, that's just the way Gymn myc looks. On a plate it's even worse.

Team shoebox here, too. Most of what I like about this hobby is fucking around. If I’m messing with new prints, I can grow a few different shoeboxes and if one or two suck ass, I don’t feel bad about tossing them.

I have one shoebox of cubes that just will not pin on the surface. Tons of mushrooms on the sides and bottom, but the fucker reminds me of a derpy goth kid, always hiding in the dark corner silently crying. From the same print, big fat albinos with almost no sidepins! Needless to say, the goth tub got tossed without wasting my time harvesting one mushroom. And thanks to shoeboxes, I couldn’t care less.

I may be late to the discussion, but here, i brought you some flowers.

...... I'm realizing this cyan patch wants more plants, but this is the one that's been here for years.

____________________________________________________________

and confession: i've never used a shoebox.  I'm stuck with these giant relics of monotubs.

(ttbvi for scale) (neglect, half-assed verm-only casing)

That and a couple mini-mono-shotgun-hybrids - https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/10713572#10713572 - this is what I was going off of years ago in an attempt to have smaller FC's

Now I've been saving them for years and can't throw them away, or bring myself to buy new plastic.

Thinking of taping up the 2" holes on the big monotubs because they're too big and cause dry spots near them.

That TTBVI tub was the only indoor project i've done in many years.  I don't want to grow indoors, but my friend does, so he'll be using these old tubs, and starting off with Ps. subtropicalis, Pan bisporus, Pan Oregon, & Ps. tampanensis.  I might start a thread to ask for pointers and verify a strategy.

I think if you are a paid supporter you automatically get more photo storage.

Interesting choice to case with verm only.

You are not given a limit to how many images you can upload. The size of the files that can be uploaded increases a lot.

Highly suggest organizing photos into folders if you have unlimited storage.

I'm still cleaning mine up, but I'm down to four pages that are unorganized.  So halfway through!

When you move a pic, does it affect the link in prior posts that it won’t show up anymore? Or does it retain the same link?

I had that same question and have discovered that it does not as far as I can tell. It will however disappear from posts if you delete it from the shroomery

I have a confession, I haven't grown a shroom in what seems like forever.... But today is the day. Let's see how well this long term storage cultures actually worked.

Wish me luck. Good to be thumbing through the ol threads again.

You can put a comment on a picture which shows up as small text underneath  it when posted. That would make it a lot easier to find a picture in particular. It does not remove the picture had it been used before that.

Awesome! Stop by the Welcome Wagon Thread - the OP has a good set of guides and links. Announce your return to growing in there as well, if you want. Peace to you, friend!

hadn't dosed in probably a couple months, ate one little freshie today while looking at a tub and surprise! best day in weeks by a long shot! I'd forgotten what Im doing this for lol. been in a bit of a doom spiral, also not on top of culting, fucking world news not helping, relationship stress. I dont usually dose when Im anxious as things can go sideways but man today it was all positive, light, bright energy and uplift. Got strong mental clarity on some things, just totally lifted up and straightened out. hit the pool with so much energy, and then a sauna, came out walking on sunshine. still pumped hours later. one tiny fresh mushroom, no more than a five grams wet max. lots of love all you good people of the Shroomery. fuck haters and trolls hehe

I love this for you friend! You’re a good dude and one of my favorite people here. Walk that sunshine like you fucking own it! Sorry you’re going through a rough spot man, I can relate. I don’t watch any news these days. Ignorance is bliss. What kind of shroom did you indulge yourself in?
