Pilsners

I notice they have a bit of a sour taste. I'm talking European pilsners like Pilsner Urquell and Carlsberg. It's a taste that is unlike any other in beer, an acquired taste I'm not sure about. Not as sour as a genuinely sour beer, but kind of a funk to it.

Still I like Carlsberg pretty well, Pilsner Urquell is a bit too strong for me in this flavor.

i like a pilsner to be dry, clean and grassy.

most norddeutsches Pilsners are gonna be good (northern german). i also like czech pils but they can be to light in body for me.

but my go to is pikeland pils from slyfox. anything from von trapp is also awesome.

Oh apparently bitburger is a north german pilsner, I've tried that one before and it was really good.

How about tripels?

I don't really love the chocolately kind of ones like stouts, but I like the dark belgian beers, like saison dupont avec bons voeux.

The saisons are generally light, but 'golden ales' from Belgium are kind of strong and full bodied - like duvel, one of my favorites. Duvel is just a really intense wheat flavor, with some decent hopping.

I'd recommend going for flights and maybe samples at the breweries you have near by. You may not be a pilsner or lager person, you may like other styles or find you chase certain hops.

For pilsner, I'm a steamwhistle, or molson oldstyle pilsner (bunnies on can) and few others. They're your most basic beers; you may end up being a sour person, IPA or whatever floats the boat. The breweries are great for finding your taste buds.
