I would toss them, personally. If you break that up with a shake or spawning, it's going to spread like wildfire.

These are very bacterial right?

they do look that way, yeah. sometimes poorly prepped grain can mimic those symptoms too, but the rhizo growth in there isn’t super inspiring

that being said i think there’s a decent chance you’ll still see some mushrooms from those jars if you spawn them at a high ratio & make sure the substrate isn’t overly wet

I don't mean to be obtuse but are you guys confident this is mold?  The mycilium has completly outpaced it and the dark spots have not changed in 4 days. On one jar me mycilium has buried the dark spot.  Thanks all for your patience.

I tell you what, if you don't think those dark spots are mold or contamination I invite you to spawn it to a tub and see what happens.

Hi! What is this monster!? πŸ˜…

The photos do not reflect the actual color well, but it is a pink that can be more or less "fluorescent" in places.

growing conditions :
Temp : ~24 Β°C
Hygro : ~90 %
Lighting : natural lighting of a room and LED strip

Third day after mixing Penis Envy grain with an unsupplemented CVG substrate. It's literally "eating" the filters! In fact, after cleaning the monotub, the filters aren't damaged, it just went through. The contaminated bag is a multiplication by grain of the mycelium that was used for the monotub. For the moment, no one knows what it is. So I hope someone will find it here! πŸ˜πŸ™Œ

Thanks!

Got this contam that looked and smelt like mycelium to me. It had a little yellowish hue over it that the picture can't really show. Anyone knows what it might be?

I'm sure it's contam because I saw a growth after I swabbed it (not checking if agar is clean before swabbing, I know, so stupid. I do no pour and I just assumed it was)

I'm pretty sure there weren't any actives mycelium there. Growth was from that circle on the right and it went over the swabbed part
