Yes, varying effects of MDMA caused by purity, byproducts and adulterants is well documented.

The first mdma I ever had probably had heroin in it.  Brown speckled pills.  They rocked. 

I’ve had tabs that were better than others.  I just assumed they were just stronger than what I would normally get.  The best tabs I got were from a biker dude got those in the mail from Berkeley. 

I seriously doubt we know everything there is to know about LSD and impurities though.  Just because it hasn’t been measured doesn’t mean it cannot be measured.  Science was moving forward on these things until the substance control act of the 1970.  I think the US government made a huge error on that one and the Supreme Court upheld it, sadly.  We should know a lot more about this stuff than we do.  We literally turned off science for purely political reasons.

It's just a guess, but those brown speckled pills, probably did not contain heroin, but MDMA.

Pure MDMA is a white crystaline powder, but before this final stage of purification, what you have is brown crystally rocks.
All the other things in the pills was probably just filler.

It has been measured. There's close to 10,000 academic papers about LSD, over 3500 indexed on PubMed alone. No doubt there's still more to know though, it's pretty magical stuff.

what exactly has been measured? that iso-LSD has no significant activity at any receptor site, ok.

and what else? that's end of story? iso-LSD is inactive, so all LSD must be the same... ehh idk

I was getting sheets of purple/gold flecks gels for the past two years. They are the the cleanest LSD I have done. Wonderful clear headed trip. No body load ever.

I am completely in the purity matters camp.

Interesting debate though.

Relating to impurities I read that the primary synthesis byproduct is iso-LSD, that others only generally appear as very small or trace amounts.

There's much else to read in almost 10,000 studies. There's hundreds of freely available studies without university affiliation. It's a pretty big story.

as long as the information gap is gaping open, i'm not willing to accept any hasty conclusion... (i know you don't care)

they'd need to test some of the clandestine batches circulating, and compare them, to get a more comprehensive picture

just assuming, testing & expelling iso-LSD can't be the whole story. from a purely scientific standpoint that is

There is nothing hasty about the conclusions drawn by scientists who have studied LSD synthesis, the reactions in each step, the stoichiometry, the products of each reaction. They have analysed the final product using all methods available to determine exactly what the synthesis produces. They know.

LSD is a very small, and fairly simple molecule in the grand scheme of things. People who spend their whole lives studying chemistry really do understand these things very well. It’s how they are able to make LSD, and also find multiple different efficient ways of synthesising it.

This isn’t to say there aren’t still things in chemistry which are mysterious, there are. But the product and byproducts of LSD synthesis have been made and studied for like 75 years already. They know the byproducts, and they know the effects of them in humans and animals.

I don’t understand which part of decades of science on this matter you find hasty…

Just because you haven’t done it, and don’t understand it, doesn’t mean that other people don’t.

Of course you’re still entitled to your opinions and feelings, but they really don’t mean much in this discussion when there are decades of research by people who really, really know what they’re talking about.

I've seen many GCMS tests on black market LSD on places like Energy Control (Spain), never seen anything representing anything but LSD or iso-LSD unless the tabs were fake. Pretty sure that data is still available to all.

i have 4 sugar cubes laid with liquid, made for legal research by Nichols Team in Canada, in my fridge :awesome: 120 each . i split 1 in a couple of low doses, felt very light and clean. just energy and elevated mood. but once i drank a red bull, i noticed a bit of lsd nausea.

LSD causes nausea, it's right there on the label. Hoffman experienced bodyload and nausea the first time he deliberately dosed.

The reasons for it is well known as well.

Idk if I’ve ever felt nausea on LSD tbh, I don’t experience nausea on really any psychedelics
Now sometimes after an LSD trip it does feel taxing on the body like muscle tension and things like that -  feeling fatigued or like your back or legs need to stretch
I’ve also noticed on 2CB I get a lot of tremors or muscle twitching spasms while rolling around or laying in bed

I don't understand this thread one bit. I have tried needle point and fluff but it would be hard to tell apart. I do get nauseated from impure LSD and have thrown up.

I mostly noticed a difference in 1V-LSD and ETH-LAD they feel way different than LSD.

I have tried LSD 1P-LSD 1cP-LSD 1A-LSD 1V-LSD LSA AL-LAD and ETH-LAD that is what I would consider different types of LSD.

As for the impurities its like that for all types I got sick from a batch of 1cP-LSD I read was around 95% pure. Then they got 99% pure 1cP-LSD I tried it and had very little nausea it was much better.

Its mostly the purity that causes nauseous feeling but even the purest LSD has some body load but I don't mind.
