hi noomer.  i made that tek for coir tub subs.  i dont know that its the right move on a cake but it really shouldnt hurt.  sometimes a cake is just a one flush wonder.  if it feels light and devoid of moisture, its probably done.

thats my £o.o2 but im not exactly a pf tek expert so seek more opinions.

Can confirm that what Celtreat calls 100mm disposables is the same size as what Vabiooth calls 90mm autoclavable petris.

I have some 100mm Celtreat without the grip ring and some 90mm Vabiooth right on top of each other and there is no way to tell them apart by eye. I am only certain of the difference because the Celtreat plate sample is from well before my first trials with the Vabiooth.

I have some glass 100mm and 70mm as well. Well crap, now I am on a tangent. I have holy grails, too. Let me grab a ruler and a spread sheet. Hold please.

Edit: to add, that I don't have any empty grip ring Celtreats lying around, but that would just make the outer edges of the bottoms 1 or 2 mm larger than the lids of the Celtreat 100s so call it 93mm max. Any tube with an interior diameter of 100 should work for all except the 100mm glass petris. Those would need an interior diameter of 105-ish mm.

Awesome thanks again rev.

So  @ladiesknight.

Sounds like unless you have the glass 100mm petris you should be able to just buy one of the cheaper 90 mm canisters.

Check ebay.

For what it’s worth, I tried the punisher on two tubs this week before soaking the two tub cake slabs that had dried out. Hoping for good results here, figuring I have nothing to lose should they not produce or go contam. They were prodigious enough already! But we’ll see if they give up more.

Oh wow, it never occurred to me to consider the additional diameter of lids vs plates.

I have the Vabiooth 90s, but they apparently also make 100s, which presumably have 101ish mm lids if they scale proportionally.

And if it takes a 115mm canister to hold 90s in a rack, then it must be something like 125mm diameter to hold the 100s.

Correction: the canister that I'm looking at is 105mm in diameter and says it fits 90mm plates, so a canister for 100mm plates would presumably measure about 115mm.

The one that measures 105mm in outer diameter  that says for 90mm. according to the rev, will fit all 100mm dishes as long as they aren't glass..

Doesn't appear they make one like that for the glass plates.

I'm not good at math but I guess if they did make one then your close.

According to rev's data the glass ones are only two millimeters bigger  (102mm). So they only need that much extra room. So probably somewhere between and 107mm -110ish if I had to guess.

I guess what I'm speculating is that Viabooth 100s are roughly the same size as the glass 100s, so they likely wouldn't fit either.  I don't have any of the 100s to confirm, unfortunately, and Rev didn't inclde them in their spreadsheet.

I didn’t even know about the vabiooth 100s until hippie mentioned them today. I really like the 90s so I am not sure that I will try those. If someone else does I hope they will share their measurements.

I'm 14 days away from being able to go to the market page, I'm super excited and curious as to what all happens there. How's it work? Will I be able to trade my spore prints to get different varieties/strains? Or is it like a money thing?
Kinda doubt anyone is going to want to trade for a golden teacher spore print though lol

So far all of the dishes I've bought  say 100mm in the description but  are actually 90 mm.which figured out because they all fit in the canister.

Lol

I was not aware of the viabooth ones either. And thank you cuz  that actually answers my original question. They do make actually 100 mm plastic ones.

But ya. Since everything I've worked with apparently is actually 90mm which I've grown to like. and that's what my canister is. sooo That's what I'll stick with.:sunny:

Most in the marketplace aren’t looking to trade. Most posts in the marketplace are give aways. I bought a spore syringe or two when I first started growing. Everything since then has been through the generosity of good folk here. You’ll be able to get just about anything you desire. I suggest you offer those GT prints for a give away. Get a few good ratings and build up some good karma. You’ll never want for spores again.

These pics taken after harvesting first JMF flush. These few popped up pretty quickly. You can see a bunch of pins as well.

I got the one monster that is coming out today. Is it better to clone? Where is best place to take sample from? I guess I'll get a spore print as well.

Suggestions?

Worth mentioning that the isolates paragraph is bunk at this point. Curious though, is it actually better to use a SAB over a hood?
