I'm not optimistic about that. recently AOC and Bernie have campaigned for a stronger democratic party with stronger values, whatever that means. The would be politician on their journey to the top, in so many words, basically has their hands greased, and greases so many other hands, and makes so many private promises behind closed doors, that by the time you end up in the position — you’ve basically gotten yourself enough strings attached to you that whatever comes next can hardly be said to truly be up to you anymore.  i,e,  The individual’s personal integrity becomes compromised, sold out before hitting your target.  It’s like the two go hand and hand.  Carrying out one’s responsibility to the greater good of humanity, would then seem to be relegated to a secondary duty in terms of its position on the old list of priorities at that point. That’s how it seems from afar anyway.

I feel like Bernie gets way too much credit for being a notable exception to our modern chambers full of neolibs and neocons. I feel like young people who are enticed by his democratic socialism in the Trump era are especially naive that there's a real limit to his appeal and no he is not right about everything and has even had some pretty embarrassing moments throughout his career.

I really don't think the 2016 primaries were rigged. Visit a nursing home sometime...

Which I feel like we're not talking about that last part enough - genuine pure old age brainrot behind the pure nonsense of today's politics, not just in the government, but in the electorate. With the complexity of today's world more than ever it's important to have someone in charge who actually can somewhat comprehend what ML really is, or any science at all for that matter in charge of the ship of state. Things like the structure of DNA were discovered after people like Biden or Trump were born - for me something like that is basic trivial knowledge from promary school - they were never taught about it in the first place because it was cutting edge at the time. Think about something like Theranos when a who's who's of washingtonian elites threw away billions on bullshit that was very obviously impossible to anyone with the most basic understanding of science. The even darker truth behind a lot of this stupidity isn't malice but pure ignorance.

Right now an alliance between the wannabe "Christian Taliban" frank zappa talked about and the aforementioned elite cult of technological progress is running the show. Very unholy, and given the anthropecene crisis beginning to heat up, I'm not sure how much patience I have to entertain the legitimacy of this bullshit that I just happened to be born into

100% Agree... which is why I fucking hate the dems, and their false opposition.

I personally think Bernie Sanders switched gears, because they threatened legal action against his wife... but I can't proooove that, so..

If that's not the case, I just can't understand how he turned on all of his values, and left all of us dumbfounded and disgusted. AOC is a gutless piece of trash... of course these two are the supposed "left" of the Dem party, so they have been a lot more vocal lately.

It's all by design they take these representatives from guaranteed blue states like new york city or san Francisco and allow them to spout off with the worst most insane rhetoric because they know its taken for granted their constituents will always vote blue just to be a major thorn in the side of nearly everyone that disagrees except for the most extreme side of thier own party it panders to. Well atleast that video clip left the part in where he totally denounces violence and calls it immoral and states riots are self defeating and socially destructive unlike alot of them during the BLM riots. Obviously Trans people exist and should have the same rights as blacks or any other minority it doesn't matter. When they are already facing so much hatred and discrimination day to day what in the fuck is having them read to little kids and shoving this stuff down everyones throats going to do?
