How long should the drying time be on a dehydrator?

If not and want to keep fresh, whats best way to do that for the longest without them rotting? I mean, we may not be ready to eat fresh as soon as theyre ready

And- were supposed to only start with like .75 of a G correct? Is that dry?

Im typically a 5g natalensis guy

I still let mine go 24 hours at max temp.

Don't go by your tolerance to other Varieties with Pans. Posted in here couple days ago about a friend that accidentally took 1g instead of 1/2g of my TTBVI thinking they were semps and, in his words, "got visited by 4th dimensional beings".

I would start with 0.25g or 0.5g to start.

Can't help ya with shelf life on fresh. Other than paper bag in the fridge, but that still won't last a long time.

I have multiple people absolutely blown away by the bunnell I have (not heeding my warnings). I'm currently working on my condiment cup t1 / t2 to throw on my rye. There will be mention of yalls reports lol.

As an aside, I did change multiple things with my grain at once, with new plastic lids and using rye instead. So far I'm thrilled at the jars. I had a ton of burst grains but the resting ones look great and the others are colonizing nicely.

My newly built martha is cycling on some dried out substrates that barely fruited as monos. Dialing it in  while I wait for my hpoo to clean up on the patio and my jars go colonize. Overall a fair amount of change but it's fun to go into new methods to streamline.

~Agar~ 1000mL water = 1000g water. use ~1% agar...1% of 1000g is 10g.  For cubes, use between 1-2% nutes (10-20g). For pans use 0.5% nutes (5g).

Everything I have typed is purely fiction, and is purely for personal amusement.

This was the first pin that popped of weza around day 9 from casing, today is day 12, it's a chunky wee guy and it looks like it's dropping spores but it has not matured as I expected, I thought the cap would lighten in colour and flatten out more.



I have a few coming in now but it's not looking like a great flush and I'm wondering what our pans experts think these guys are asking for?

The shelf life of raw shrooms is a maximum of 7 days in a sealed package in the fridge, in the 'vegetables' section.

If you're a 5g Natalensis user, 1 gram dry or better 18g fresh should be good for you. They are very potent and long-lasting.

So these guys are about day 4- Do they get bigger? Should I wait to pick? The ones I see you guys growing make me feel like im doing something wrong.

Any suggestions here? And how do you do a 2nd flush for these? as well as know when its time to?

SGFC is not the best for Pans or anything really. You would be better off with a tub with no holes and about 2" of water on the bottom, preferably with a small air stone pumping in fresh air to up the FAE. Air-stone not a necessity but will help.

When you say 2 in of water on bottom, I assume that there is another tub that goes inside that tub correct? And does Substrate depth matter when growing?

So no holes either? Just keep it warm and let it grow without FAE or should I mist and FAE a certain amount of times per day?

You just need a tray to keep your tubs out of the actual water. So water depth would depends out your tray that the tubs sit on.

Then yes just leave it go and adjust FAE with the lid.

More air exchange, my Weza bag sat doing nothing except making aborts until I doubled the on-time of my fan every hour. It now runs 4 mins every 26 mins instead of 2 mins every 28 mins.

The fuzzy base on that chonky boy also points to lack of air exchange.

At least that one is dropping spores. Only 30% of mine dropped spores. Most had white gills even after the caps completely flattened out.

Edit : Is that straight verm for a casing?

Good canopies come from

1) CLEAN SPAWN.

2) Mix it well

I toss my manure coco and spawn in an oven bag and shake the shit out of it till it's well mixed then dump it in my shoeboxes.

3) compress the hell out of it.

I pack the sub well then take a second shoebox on top and press it down again. Then I add an extra 1/2 qt of coir to cover the exposed grains and pack it again/

4) Case it when colonized.

Still above 110f(43c) here, so no point in trying an outdoor grow.

Thanks Blimey, I had a gut feeling that might be the issue. I'm growing in trays in an ezdial monotub, I've done my best to increase FAE. We will see what happens.

Vermiculite and sand, approximately 1:5, ran my TTBVI with the same casing mix.
