And yeah I make that a policy I just like watching cultivation videos I don't take any advice from it. I only trust shroomery members for my grow advice. I just found it interesting and wondered if there was any credence to it

I used the tall half pint jars for my first grow and they took a good 3+ weeks to fully colonize/start pinning in the jar.

Theyre still expanding somehow currently but I gotta assume theyre at their upper limit soon.


If it’s ever a concern just rip them in half. Milkboy goes by the sharpie rule: thicker than a sharpie and they get halved.


I determine how ripe the fruits are by touch. If the stipe is soft it is over ripe. If its cap has opened and is in the early stages of curling is when I would harvest unless the variety deviates from that rule

Can someone recommend a small box that you can buy a lot of that would fit a single chocolate?
It’s about the size of a silver dollar.
Everything that I can find is huge.

After running my jars through the PC I noticed that the paper towel I put under the lids to catch moisture was damp all the way through, compared to last time where only the edges were damp.

Would this be caused by letting the jars sit in the PC as it cooled down until completely cold? The water level was about the same, although maybe about 100ml extra at most.

Don’t put any paper towel in or on your jars.
Paper towel isn’t going to filter anything why is it involved?

Because otherwise the MP tape on my jar lids gets soaked. It's there to help moisture from the PC getting under the foil and into the tape/jars.

Empty cardboard match boxes. You can get custom printed ones and they come in various sizes for different size matches and numbers of matches.

The moist mp tape dries and is no problem. Paper towel is food for microbes being made of wood pulp which is carbohydrates.
