Zinc and vitamin c. Lots of fluids

Stay away from smoking cannabis while you are healing, it will be better in your lungs.

I transitioned to tinctures lately and am loving it for my lung health

First ever attempt at taking tissue for clones 7 days ago. How these looking so far?

Edit: I feel like i should add the color and the shape of those are basically the same as the day I ham-handedly cut the tissue out.

Bacterial possibly got something else riding along.

Wait a few more days and take a couple more transfers

Thanks for your help Atlantean…

I Tried some BR grain a few days later 31.7

Is that some type of mold or mycelium at top?

Yeah, I always know I’m sick when I don’t want to smoke. I’m sure everything is already inflamed — don’t want to make it worse!

Of course! Keep up the good work! You’ll be harvesting in no time!
Looks like mycelium to me.

How do i have 15k posts and not know what coir is? Fair question honestly. That's actually an interesting story sort of. Firstly when I registered no company would sell LCs to California so for a majority of that time I just thought I'd never be able to grow :frown:. Plus I was younger and had access to many shroom dealers.

I started here because I found mushrooms near me house, I picked about 10lbs of it and was "drying it" under a ceiling fan. I had been posting on the shroomery about other psychedelic adventures and alot of pill based posts. And someone here saved my life told me that 10lbs of mushrooms I picked was extremely poisonous. I instantly recognized the value of this site as a resource for unintended harm reduction.

Just about a month ago I checked more sites and sponsored vendors kind of out of desperation because I'm so depressed and found that now Lcs can be shipped to Cali  So from that moment on I've been trying to learn all I can.

It is kind of insane I've been a member of a site called "the shroomery" for so long and never learned how to grow shrooms  I just loved the community and whenever I had harm reduction questions for other drugs I always git great advice here but it's never too late to learn and I've been here so long I know to take the advice because I've grown to really really trust this community over the years and honestly I think that's why I've been so successful so far.

Also I think it's worth noting I started this journey 25 days ago lol so I have alot of learning to do

Thank you  people like you are giving me the tools to hopefully achieve that. I have terrible ptsd and depression and shrooms have helped in the past but I didn't have the money or sources to be buying it all the time so I just stopped and dealt with the misery. Until now. And now I have a hobby which already is helping give me some kind of purpose beyond taking care of my family

Hey Guys,

New poster, 2nd time grower
I ran into an Issue with this grow where I'm getting really un-even growing of mushrooms. This picture shows about a million and a half pins but hardly any mushrooms that are growing to size.

My initial thought is that the mat doesn't have enough water. The first time I grew I followed a recipe for substrate to the "T", but ended up with what looked like too wet of a substrate. This time I followed it to the [presumable] intent and ended up with a lot less water in the substrate recipe (Enough water that when you gently squeeze a few drops of water come out). This ended up being around 4-5 cups  of water less than my first grow(about 35% less water)! But I trusted the method and I think it screwed me.

Wondering what I can do to save it. . .

Harvest the couple of mushrooms that are there and then dunk it?
Should I remove the pins first?

Something else? Any help would be appreciated. Wish I found this forum sooner  Thanks

If it were me I would let the bigger fruits mature until their veils tear and scrape off the rest. Then dunk for 24 hours before putting it back into FC conditions

Have yall known about “nonmachinable stamps”? Once I’m over Covid and not stuck in my damn bed wanting to function I’m doing another giveaway and will be using these stamps. Might save some swabs or prints even though I try to pack carefully and use plastic swabs.

Yeah non-machineable stamps are a good tool to use to send cultures. Or did you have a question about the stamps?

Has anyone tried to clone a fruit obviously contaminated with bacteria? Would tissue from inside be “ clean”? Asking for a friend.

Interior of the fruit would be cleaner but if the contamination is visible enough to the eye on the interior of the fruit then it is toast

I did try this, and the plates have what appears to be a bacterial “ halo”. More of a cloud really.
There is some very rhizo growth, growing upwards actually, as if trying to escape. Is it worth trying to transfer a piece of one of the fingers? I thank you for the guidance in this matter.😁

I can't really see the halo in those pics, but if you're sure it's bacterial you might want to try using the trench technique to isolate growth from bacteria.  Basically you just cut out a strip of agar ahead of the leading edge of growth then wait for the mycelium to grow over the gap and then take a new transfer from the 'clean' side of the trench.  Bacteria won't be able to jump the gap, but mycelium will be able to.

I recently did this on some MS growth with very noticable halos and it looks flawless after a single transfer.

If it were me I would probably let those clone plates grow out but if you are particularly concerned you can go ahead and take the transfers from the tips of the rhizo growth if you want to be conservative with your plates.

I would probably do at least 2 sections of the rhizo growth per plate to cut down on waste but its up to you and what you have on hand.

You can side/bottom water it. Pour water between liner amd sub..  if no water left to dump out  in the morning add another.

But if those pins haven't aborted yet let em ride it out

I live in thePhilippines and I will be getting sent a big box full of things from the US from my family soon. I want to put some spore prints/swabs in there for me. But the thing is they are sending it by boat which can take up to 2 months. Can they last that long in those conditions?
