I really like the poke method.
It really does take faith. But it works. You can’t even see it. That’s how tiny a sample you’re taking.
You just have to believe.

If you did bucket tek, just leave it in the bucket and add water as needed in the future.

Yeah I did bucket tek. Thanks, I figured it would be ok, just wanted to make sure before I did something stupid.

Golden Teachers. I was away for a few days and they popped quick!

Are these bad, or just very mature? Will I notice any changes in potency or anything?

Yeah I'm definitely doing it that way, just wondering if I can go about it differently in terms of the liquid in the syringe to shoot the sample out. I'll just have to try it sometime lol

Do yall shake the grain jar at all after dropping an agar wedge in? Or just let it rest on top and shake after it's colonized a bit?

I like to coerce the wedges down the side of the jar and get them smashed between the grain and the glass. For my viewing pleasure. You have to be gentle as to not get the l wedge stuck to the lid or part of the jar that isn’t exposed to grain spawn.

if this is the potency loss study that noobs have been posting lately, it's already been shot full of more holes than swiss cheese.

Links to the holes?

It's the thread you posted and then everyone shredded.  15 fruits and no control does not a study make

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28803328

I saw this too. So again I wonder, is there a forums consensus on about how long frozen tea cubes would retain acceptable potency?

9months for me and they were ‘fine’.

However my stupid non experiments are hardly a consensus.

Try for yourself and report back.

Mmm I posted that 25 days ago and the first response was 8 days ago so I never checked it again. But Mr piggy's wording is a bit harsh. I was literally posting one of the few studies which hadn't been linked on the shroomery and it's findings, regardless of methodology. I even said in my post I did a search for the article and got no hits, so my bad if "the noobs" keep posting it.

Sarcasm at his vitriol aside, it would be interesting for someone to take a nice cloned sample and try different methods. No clue how costly that testing is in the labs.

My posts are long winded and dense.
Supplemented coir experiments< Currently ongoing spring 2026.

~Agar~ 1000mL water = 1000g water. use ~1% agar...1% of 1000g is 10g.  For cubes, use between 1-2% nutes (10-20g). For pans use 0.5% nutes (5g).

Everything I have typed is purely fiction, and is purely for personal amusement.
All images I've posted are not mine and I am simply posting interesting things I found on the Google.

What’s up friends! How’s my surface conditions looking ? It’s a aio bag (I know, I know, hadn’t found the forum yet when I started it) that I put to fruit on Friday. Shits gotten real fluffy since then

First step is running that clone hundreds of times and averaging, then running the experiment hundreds of times to compare. Even a clone can vary so you need a big data set for any accuracy.

Personally in this world I have yet to see conclusive proof of anything at all, except love. While all the scientists beat their heads against the wall trying to find proof in a moving universe, I'll just continue to observe, reflect, and figure out how to keep loving. Knowledge as a practice or concept is possessive in nature and very narrow minded. Knowledge is the voice of the ego. Awareness is a different thing altogether and IME much more reliable and useful.

Hunting for proof is chasing wild geese.

For an AIO bag, not too shabby. Hard to tell from the photo but that chunky bit at the edge at In my eye it is maybe a little over hydrated, dealing with a minor bacteria bloom (very common and not the end of the game), and would like a little more FAE. I can't suggest messing with it though at this point without possibly messing it up due to lack of experience.

1-2 o'clock looks iffy but could just be something on the other side of the bag or an optical illusion.

Those negatives aside you'll likely see mushrooms in that bag in a short time. Keeping a stack of spore prints when you do, is the protocol for future success.
