honesty and the ability to communicate ... say what you mean, mean what you say.

understanding/open-mindedness This is a big one, mainly cuz I rarely make sense.... patience will also fall into this category.

kindness/caring/compassion.

sense of humor (I have a terrible sense of humor...so if you think I'm funny, your a keeper! :wink: )

intellegence if your smart you'll have some sort of ambition, but most of all be able to hold a conversation.

Intelligence, above all, and everything that comes with it! (understanding, ingenuity, ect)

Fidelity is a must! I can not forgive cheating...I have never cheated on a girlfriend before (or even been tempted to) but I have had girlfriends cheat on me...it was probably the quickest way they could ruin the relationship!

Open-mindedness...I could not stand being with a woman who didn't keep her mind open to new ideas!

A healthy sense of humour is important, and if at all possible it should be as close to my form of humour as possible :wink:

Last, but definitely not least, is the ability to not be a slave to your emotions. I tend to have a hard time dealing with people who throw logic out the window and run on emotion only...for example I am not very good at "comforting" women who are emotionally distraught. I would, if at all possible, prefer a mate who uses logic whenever possible to make decisions instead of emotion.
