I was wondering, why do people say the larger volume the longer in the PC.
You think the size of the package, ie bag or jar, matter more than the size of the grain?
In my mind, as I am pcing millet, I can't help but think that oats would take longer to sterilize than millet in my opinion, and think a quart of oats should take longer than a 2# bag of millet...
Is that silly for thinking that the steam would take monger to penetrate a thicker grain?

This is clearly some type of mold right? If I'm not mistaken it looks way too thin and separate from the other, thicker mycelium at the top.

I have a lot of leftover stumps from a harvest. They were grown in 100% coir. If I were to leave them in cold water in the fridge and strain it out in a couple days, would that be safe to consume?

Yeah, I used to make stump tea.  However, I'm with Smelly.  Just go a lil nutso with growing too many shrums till you throw out entire sub-optimal tubs because you don't want to deal with it.  :lol:

I had read cold water extraction works when soaked in 24 hours. I currently have it in ice water in my fridge.

Is cold water extraction not effective?

Not anywhere near as effective.  Boiling water cannot reach the temperature at which psilocin degrades, so boil away.
