also since its confession time,

i confess i burned my dick smoking a joint on the shitter and ashing in the toilet.  kinda gives me chills.  i have an uncommonly high pain threshold but that fucking hurt.

God i confess that i smoked cigarettes for 25 years.  Ive run 12 marathons since i quit . I still run around 20miles a week.

Yeah, doing no-pour/pre-pour in glass or PP petris is totally a thing. No real difference other than wrapping a sleeve of foil around the stacks.

Huh. So pour, wrap in foil (?), PC, put in SAB/infront of FH, then when cool unwrap and close with clingwrap/parafilm? My instincts tell me not to trust that near as much as traditional pours/no-pours, but I'm not sure why!

I let them cool slowly in the PCer, and then pull out the stack. I still haven't decided if I like pour or no-pour better. I feel confident immediately using my no-pours, but I still like to wait a week or more on my poured plates. My confidence is building now that I'm no longer using a SAB, so I might let go of the waiting a week thing.

I did have a super weird contam on a poured glass plate last week, it had a bunch of translucent pink stems with pink globes on the end. Wish I'd taken a pic. Like nothing I've ever seen. I had let that one cool infront of the FH before transferring to it, but didn't leave it wrapped long enough to see if that was from the pour process alone.

Opened and dumped that in the trash outside, it got a big nopenopenopenope from me.

My Second grow was Spore Syringe directly into Uncle Bens Rice...

I confess, I am incredibly impatient setting up my SAB. I only let it settle for 5 minutes max, I don't wipe anything down, and I don't wear gloves when working in the box.

I'm similar with the SAB, I've gradually gotten more lackadaisical about how long I let it sit for.

Still wear gloves and wipe stuff down, though.

I'm not sure at this point whether not wiping things down and not wearing gloves is confession-worthy, or the opposite is. Will we all laugh about gloves and iso in the future, the same way we laugh about lysol and peroxide now?

I confess that I've gotten really paranoid about my sterilized grain jars, and I leave them in the PC with the lid on until I'm ready to do my transfers. Then they go straight into the SAB.

I pretend that it's all part of some super-streamlined process where I run the PC, let it cool overnight, and run transfers on recently cooled grains like virgin volcanic soil.

In reality, it sometimes means that the jars just sit in the cooled-down PC, overtop all that questionable grain-tinged water, for several days.
