I havent read the first 42 pages but I still have an opinion...

Seems like you guys act like willie is out robbin people with those studded face masks at gun point.

I just think he is entertaining.

He seems to try to give out a lot of free advice. I get the feeling he is actually trying to be helpful and I dont think its wrong he pays the rent at the same time. In having listened to both willie and people on this board its obvious this board has a lot more information, more accurate and helpful people willing to go out of their way to give free advice. shroomery is made up of hundreds of people.... vs willie. Of course shroomery will win the knowledge base.

Heres the thing, willie sells stuff. But he doesnt require you to buy anything to get his information. You can get it all free. Several bits of his advice have turned out to be less effective than things ive learned here but I think its wrong to form web gangs and say 'our web gang is better than your web gang'. I think the premise of this entire string is slightly contrary to the core ethos of this board. I dont think its right to 'call out' other people in the mushroom hobby. It forms an artificial construct nobody needs.

Its kinda like saying, you know that retard? he sure talks funny. Fuck that dude, he aint wearing the right brand of shoes or the wrong color clothes, blue vs red.

If willy is wrong about stuff, I get it discussing his incorrect information, and theres plenty to work with there, but this whole 'fuck that retard willie' business thats slowly gaining speed, in my opinion is wrong. I think people in this hobby need to be better than that. If you think the internet isnt big enough for everybody to have a little piece, I really think you should give that more thought.

Very well said! I am no fan of Willy or that other Lady (actually never saw their videos), but I think this kind of hatred is wrong. Life is to short to bother with hatred...  And we should lead a good example to others and not encourage them to act up like this.

I do think it is right to call out people who prey on the ignorant for money.

His approach is trash his advice is trash. The people impressed or taken in by him are being mislead and don’t know any better.

Why don’t I compile a list of half assed teks and slap FAM bullshit everywhere just to make a buck?

Because I’m not a terrible human.

While he makes a dollar the hobby goes backwards while WE pick up the pieces and correct the garbage information for free.

Ain't no internet gang here. Shit, I've seen more awful half-assed advice here than anywhere else. The only thing is, this place is an open forum with a short list of very understandable rules. There's no one agenda, just a really large peanut gallery that makes comments based in reality.

I understand the sentiment about wanting to keep everything peace and love, but shrooms always make me want to call out bullshit and misinformation. I make fun of people when I'm tripping, myself included. I don't consider that hate.

I'm not seeing any artificial constructs being created here, unless you consider applied science to be an artificial construct.

If I choose to be "better," it's because that's who I am. If I choose to act like an annoying middle school kid, then ban me and/or ignore me if I cross your line. That, to me, is the core ethos of this board.

If you think any of this is all that bad or hateful, you should walk around my city for a couple days and hear how people talk to each other. I see lots of restraint here.

You have a beautiful understanding an outlook on this Willy Myco situation.

Yet for the Majority of the Shoomery Community who has be gate keeping cultivation information for over 20+ years an refining it every day will not give anyone a pass for miss information.

I myself sometimes wish this place was like a bunch of well respected PHD Mycologist an Scientist; but it NEVER will be.

Yet, Everybody gets called out for there bullshit on this website. Not one member is praised 100%. Every member gets roasted or called out for bad info lol. Look at the ratings on members. Everyone corrects or refines each other Tek & Info. This is what Shoomery is.



This website is older then 4chan & Reddit;. Shoomery is a rough Community yet has the most refined info on cultivation. Its just how it is here.

Let these guys have there field day on Willy Myco. If you see something you don't like just ignore it.

I personally think Willy is a cool guy, I seen his videos of him hunting for cubes in Puerto Rico. An become friends with Puerto Rican Farmers. I actually dont mind his videos at all.
