I'm guessing it's because if Iran complies with the deal, we'll have to be friendly with them and lift the sanctions.

I remember when they had a government that wanted equal rights for women, and we fought that government by supporting the right wing extremist mujahideen and Osama Bin Laden, so that we could fight a proxy war with Russia.  Just like we're supporting a far right government in Ukraine so we can fight a proxy war with Russia.
