Do you believe it to be learned or natural human behaviour?

Personally, I think it's learned, passed on from generation to generation. And leaders, wealthy/powerful people setting those types of examples for people to follow in their daily lives.

Anyways I'm getting off topic. Apologies.

You guys notice no one responded to my previous post regarding those supporting war to speak up? I mean it's still early, but I know war is not something anybody here prefers over diplomacy.

Your previous post about people supporting the war was too much of a distinctive cut and dry situation.

It is much more appealing to support...unpopular...interests when there is rhetorical or otherwise cover to pretend that is not actually what you support.

Nobody supports the war. People simply support asking questions about the war, and who did what and who knows who and who can we blame, ya know?

As Sun Tzu said: build your enemy a golden bridge to retreat.

I'm confused. Are they pretending or do they actually not support the war?

On this platform, in this community, there is no reason to pretend any position. Possibly for the sake of argument and debate, but that's why the cut and dry questions and answers are important in my opinion.

Calling this a war of agression doesn't mean you believe the US should be able to coup anyone they want without resistance.

I've asked several times for an alternative explanation.

If you don't believe the US should be able to coup anyone they want without resistance, what should be done instead of resistance?

Same question for Kryptos.

Enough with the bullshit.  Invasions aren't resistance. You can't resist something that wasn't inflicted on you.  The alternative explanation is that your premise is deeply flawed, at best.

Be better

You were wrong, an answer to your question isn't necessary to show that. You lied and you continue to lie. Stop lying.

How is a question "bullshit"?

If you don't believe the US should be able to coup anyone they want without resistance, what should be done instead of resistance?

I think you said you were ok with Eastern Ukrainian resistance without Russia involvement, correct?

Why won't you answer the question?  Is it because you understand you can't do anything to fight a coup but resist?  Do you at least agree with Balls that Eastern Ukrainian resistance is ok?

Why won't you answer my question? Is it because you know your original statement was a lie and now you're desperately trying to avoid answering because you don't want to admit you lied and would prefer to add lie on top of lie instead of just admitting it?

Probably a good opportunity to compare how RT responds in regards the recent missile strike on the port of Odessa

I was reading another story from the ABC. They'd quoted an Associated Press investigation.

It was terribly inconsistent and was peppered with random paragraphs of decency towards refugees in between stories saying how terrible things are. It didn't make sense to me.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-07-22/ukrainian-refugees-being-sent-russia-passports-confiscated/101256418

Quote:
'Into the mouth of a bear': Ukrainian refugees are being sent to Russia, their passports confiscated

Quote:
They asked everyone with Ukrainian passports to hand them over to start the process. So she did. Then came a residency application and a document that an official would not let her examine.

"There's nothing to read here, and we're running late," he told her.

"What is written here?" Bondarenko persisted.

"Everything we talked about," came the reply. She signed. Her passport was returned to her a few days later. :flowstone:

Quote:
It never crossed her mind to delete her contacts. When a Russian soldier searched her phone, he stopped at the one listed as "Commander" and pulled her aside.

She explained that the "commander" was not a military connection but the head of the youth camp where she worked for two years. The explanation was satisfactory — this time. :flowstone:

Quote:
The abuses start not with a gun to the head, but with a poisoned choice: die in Ukraine or live in Russia.

Quote:
Almost all the refugees the AP interviewed :flowstone: spoke gratefully about Russians who quietly helped them escape through a clandestine network, retrieving documents, finding shelter, buying train and bus fares, exchanging Ukrainian hryvnia for Russian roubles and even lugging the makeshift baggage that holds all that remains of their pre-war lives.

Quote:
Others speak Russian, with family there and ties they feel are stronger even than their links to Ukraine. One woman told the AP her husband was Russian and she felt more welcome in Russia. :flowstone:

What do you guys call the Iraq war? Just curious.

Stupid, wrong, a war of agression, just like every war.

So you mean that this war is the same?

They are both completely unjustifiable wars, but the American invasion was complete in a couple weeks.
I mean as far as similarities and differences go,

I guess that would depend on who attacked Odessa.

Somebody who has been following this grain deal more closely maybe could explain what is Turkey's significant interest here? Do they need a bunch of Ukrainian grain?
