Hmmm rely on my own health and habits, or rely on an injection made by some lying corporations in cahoots with our government whipped up in a year to combat a man made virus concocted by our own governments infectious disease experts in cooperation with the Chinese communist party to make the virus more deadly in humans. Not getting vaccinated is a very poor habit. The most reliable predictor of how someone will handle a covid infection is not how fat they are, it is whether they are vaccinated or not.  90% of hospitalized patients are not fat, but they are unvaccinated.

You gambled and won. Not everyone has the same luck as you and extrapolating your outcome to the entire population is magical thinking and the reason why hospitals in low vaccination areas of the US have been overwhelmed with patients and why economic recovery is not robust.

If someone in the United States needs an icu bed, it's out there. No one believes the lie that covid sufferers are dying in the waiting room because unvaxxed covid sufferers are taking up icu beds. And since you have better knowledge of Fauci, I wanna ask you if that story going around about him giving the OK to remove parts of monkey brains so they experience more fear and subjecting them to their fears is true. Seems outrageous and a lie. But the beagle thing is true, so, is the monkey thing legit?

People who don’t even have covid have died because covid patients have taken up every icu bed in the region. That’s just a fact.

As for the fauci authorizing a monkey study funded by NIMH, that’s just dumb. Fauci is the director of NIAID, a completely separate institute and he has absolutely nothing to do with what happens at NIMH.

As for the dog thing, that’s an exaggeration. Fauci does not personally direct funds for research. There is a board that reviews and approves submitted research funding. If animals are used, there is another board that reviews the ethics. These dogs were allowed to be bitten on the face by a fly that lays its eggs in the tissue. They used dogs because they are the best model for this type of infection. The animals were not repeatedly attacked by flies. They were bitten once, and then the progress of egg development was followed to test a vaccine candidate for a disease that infects and disfigures millions of people a year. That’s how we test vaccine candidates. Sometimes it’s not pretty but if we didn’t do it then we wouldn’t have lifesaving drugs and vaccines.

I’m not sure why the dogs were surgically prevented from barking. Obviously there would be a reason for this, and if I had to guess I’d say the stress on a dog surrounded by other barking dogs could be a confounding variable. There is nothing particularly cruel about snipping a dogs vocal cords. Nearly every dog in this country has been surgically altered after all.

When using animals other than rodents (mice, rats, Guinea pigs and rabbits) a researcher must have a well reasoned justification as to why that particular species of animal must be used. Monkeys are often used in psychological research because they have a psychology most similar to humans. I worked at NIMH. I never saw any monkeys being used in research, but I’m sure they were. We used rats to study potential immunological aspects of bipolar illness and we still had to submit requests and get permission to do anything with them.

A friend of mine used monkeys to study Parkinson’s. These monkeys were given Parkinson’s by injecting them with a drug called MPTP, which was discovered after a guy who was trying to make a fentanyl derivative in his home labs accidentally made MPTP and he developed Parkinson’s within minutes of self administration. This unfortunate accident opened up an entire avenue of research into the disease.

I’m going to a show in two weeks at a massive club. Vax only but nobody will be wearing masks so it will be nice to be at peak immunity for that.

What is the source of that data?

I can’t find any information from the official Belgian dashboard about case rates broken down by vaccination status and the country has a lower hospitalization rate than your chart would indicate.

Now that I read the article again, I see I explained it somewhat erroneous.

These are hospital admissions per 100.000 vaccinated or unvaccinated inhabitants.

So in vaccinated age group of 18-64 there are 0,9 hospital admissions per 100.000 inhabitants

While that same age group but unvaccinated has almost 10 admissions per 100.000 inhabitants

This appears to be completely fabricated. Here is the data from Belgium’s official dashboard. About 55% of hospitalized patients are vaccinated, but the country’s adult vaccination rate is about 90%. So a much much higher proportion of the unvaccinated population is hospitalized than the vaccinated population.

This data does demonstrate that immunity is waning in the vaccinated population. Time for Belgium to get their boosters.

Ok yah I was reading that wrong as well. I got the blues backwards. That about lines up with the data from the dashboard. I like when they compare rates in the two groups with the population size of each group separately. It gives you a better idea of what’s happening. If you see that 55% of hospitalized cases are vaccinated it sounds like a lot but you have to take into account that the vaccinated population is about ten times larger than the unvaccinated population

How is my graph wrong? It shows unvaccinated people 18-65 years old are 10 times more likely to require hospitalisation.
For 65+ year olds its less but still around 3 times more likely. Perhaps the data is skewed because they dont take partial vaccinated people into account :shrug:


And Belgium is already offering booster shoots to 65+ year olds
