hey everyone,

i'm putting out this appeal to the shroomery and to S+P in particular...

PF wrote a really insightful and informative book, and i fingd out now that I was the only one to buy a copy...

that isn't right...

I don't think theres even a single shroomerite who hasn't benefitted greatly from the efforts of Psilocybe Fanaticus...

so now its time to give something back.

Don't make me beg people!

go to www.fanaticus.com and buy that book, if you won't do it because you're a bible scholar, then do it because you owe this man greatly...

It's a shame that this book hasn't received the attention it undoubtably deserves. It's also a shame that I can't personally help that as I don't have the money to spend right now :/

While PF did accelerate monumental advances in mycology, he also made a bloody fortune. Perhaps this led to his unfortunate experience with federal authorities.

I read the intro and I don't think PF hates Christians, I think he is attempting to expose the truth about the ignorant brain-washed masses of people who actually know nothing about the writings that were pulled together in the 3rd century by the so-called 'Church Fathers' (no Church Mothers incidentally) by Emperor Constantine to decide exactly what they wanted everyone to believe. That collection of writngs is called the Bible. The Biblical material is essentially 'midrash,' and if an individual does not know the Hebrew word midrash, which is a colorful story intended to illustrate a spiritual truth, and which uses imagery which is mythologically based - then that person is going to take such writings as accurate, journalistic-scientific type reporting - literal, historical 'truth.' Nothing is further from the Truth, but PF's "Gray" area is the real-life 'Matrix.'

Read Rev. John Shelby Spong's Liberating the Gospels and learn how and WHY the Biblical writings were composed and arranged, while being demythologized at the same time. Myth does not mean fiction. Myth is a story-line which does not necessarily exist in historical space-time, but which imparts Universal Truth - living Truth. PF dropped out of Bible college 30 years ago, and I graduated from seminary 30 years ago. If the Truth destroys your faith, then your faith is not based in Truth.
