You could always try shooting them to grain then putting a colonized kernel to agar.

Opened my first jar with atl toady, 2 months old, not one single stone :cool:.

Spawned it to a shoebox, at least I'll know I get fruits.

Welp just poked two quarts huautla mex, two quarts chicon nindo and two pints a LC mix of Jalisco and chicon nindo cross attempt. Good things are coming

I've been picking mine shortly after the cap opens up a bit as they seem to stop growing length wise.

A few look like they might do the tamp/gal aborted head thing

But either harvest when caps open or when yhey stop growing/abort/get soft

lol I don’t think his will get like that. Did you have to use a fogger to get them like that?? If I give them that much air they’ll shrivel up real fast unless humidify it.


My last tamps tub didn’t really open the caps either but I just wait til they haven’t grown in a couple days or start to look like they’re drying out like the taller caps on the left.

I have the box covered with cling wrap, I make a lot of holes all over, I have the 4 corners folded up and I keep the surface quite wet and spray sides as soon as they are dry (keeping droplets on all edges.

I also put them on the window sills on sunny days with windows cracked opened in all rooms so I get quite a good draft, so they get a lot of air.

I make sure to have a lot of circulating air in the greenhouse setup too, I have to mist a lot throughout the day.

Two 6500k Fluorescent Tube, 1 exhaust usb fan connected to a timer.

It is going to be less sunny days and colder weather now so it will be interesting to see how they perform in the greenhouse only.

When you guys shake jars how well does the mycelium typically form new growth points?

Unsure of my cultures because compared to cubensis it spreads to many more points when shaken.

Mine seem to from a lot of tiny pin points all over the jar/grain where with cubes it’s more just the colonized grains fuzz up again after shaking.

They seem to finish much quicker than cubes after shaking them too.

That’s exactly what I think when I see it but they’ve always done ok. It’s gotta be something to do with the way stones form.
