Well the results speak for themselves. Beautiful stuff. I will be doing this method next grow.
SGFC Chamber

I definitely like it (prefer it) vs putting holes in my tub.  I look at it like this, when you buy a tub it already comes with one huge hole in it...the one you use the lid to cover.  Why would I cover up that hole only to put a bunch of other holes in it?

beautiful! old school method but still works!

reminds me of the old box trash bag fruiting method. you simply drape over the black trash bag semi open air and then fruit directly in a brown cardboard box.

oh man love those types of grows.

Thanks eat, much appreciated!  Big compliment coming from you my friend

Just for kicks am going to see what kind of a second flush it can put out (I typically toss my subs after a giant first flush...been a while since checking to see what the 2nd can look like).

As stated before, for kicks I figured I'd see what I could get out of a second flush from this tub...and she's on her way

About a day away from harvest...can't say I'm disappointed with this second flush given the size of the first.  Might even see what a 3rd flush will do (as I haven't kept subs around for more than one flush in some time, want to verify I've been doing the right thing replacing them with new ones post first flush).

Wow.  I am going to try this Tek.

Also considering combining it with this Tek

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22887047/vc/1#22887047

no holes in anything, except the one it already had when you bought it.

Love it....

You and Bohdi both inspired me.

You provided a simple - albeit - effective method to fruit.

Bravo.  I doubt I will put holes in my tub in the future.

I originally drilled holes, but never stuffed with poly.  I grew in a dark closet.  These pics were from my first flush harvested early. I used 5 quarts rye and half a brick of coir.

Thanks for sharing your updates.  I will be posting new grows when the weather warms.

Great job SGFC

I don't have a pic of the second flush.  However, it was 3/4 the size of the first.  I harvested early on both flushes  threw my substrate early on the second flush because of the nagging from the wXXe.

Total weight dry was 220/grams after 18/hrs in a 5 level dehydradtor.

I'm really looking forward to trying again in the spring.

I have been doing no holes with a can liner in the bottom for over 4 years now. It is simple ,easy and clean-up is over in a dump and spray. After 3 flushes they are done, yields may be slightly lower than other teks but the ease of use makes up for all the negatives.

Thanks!  Look forward to some photos of your "no hole" grows

Those photos are some really great results though, tasty!!  Love the look of a shitload of full dehydrator trays haha

Seriously, that is absolutely my favorite way to say it!!  Why cover up the biggest hole the container came with just to go hacking away at the container putting other holes in it? haha

It came out well, but I don't have any notes on it as I had too many other projects going on I'm afraid :frown:

With you 100% about the clean up...would never go back to using no liners...it's all benefits and no drawbacks so far as I'm concerned.  My favorite thing about no holes?  That I can actually continue to use the damn container for other things and not have to answer questions about "why do you have holes in your storage tubs?" haha

As far as yields go, I actually get better yields this way.  Not to say that way back when I didn't have good results with the polyfill/holes method, but it wasn't nearly as consistently great as the results I get without any holes (which I attribute to it being super easy to repeat the perfect conditions...IE - move the lid X" instead of playing around trying to find the "right polyfill density" again).

kinda glad it was brought up even after the 4 months.. i think i may give this a go, as well. but im just worried about not getting enough FAE, especially since im a noob, and might end up with some hidden bacteria, which FAE should only help with.

might run one no mod tub and one standard mono. well, minis, at least.

At the very least, im gonna do what Trek did, with a few in-vitro jars i have going right now.
