Bill Clinton hasn't been president for almost two decades. Do you really expect a Bill Clinton thread to still be active?

You are using the absolute lowest IQ form of political debate, a whataboutism. "Yea trump said that, but WHAT ABOUT....". Clinton is not being talked about for the same reason hitler is not being talked about, it has nothing to do with Trump or his character.

I for one think both clintons are pieces of shit. So is trump.

But then again, what about Bill Cosby.

people dont go around randomly accusing others of sexual assault. they do it for revenge or a paycheck or sometimes, probably most of the time, they were sexually assaulted.

Most sexual assault allegations are real. There are also crazy women out there and people with ulterior motives who make shit up. The most the public can do is look at patterns, as well as the accused person's own words and actions, to draw their own conclusion of the truth. Most educated people have done so with trump, and concluded he's a piece of shit.

And that's why we have a criminal justice system to deal with these situations. Granted, it's not a perfect system when dealing with these types of issues, it's the only thing we have to bring justice.

Trump also deserves the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise in the court of law.  I don't see any court dates for Trump.

Well you donā€™t have to get touchy about it. Hillary Clinton very narrowly lost just a few years ago and the Clintons still have massive support. It is directly relevant because a lot of the democrats who swept the Bill Clinton assaults under the rug are still politically relevant.

This is what the democrats are failing to do, recognize their hypocrisy. Thatā€™s why Hillary lost. Everyone sees it but you. You can call it whatever you like but until that reconciliation occurs your only hope for winning is flooding the country with new voters. Which is actually working so thatā€™s kind of shitty, but still, thatā€™s how you got Trump.

Like it or not itā€™s relevant. Very relevant. Just because you donā€™t like it doesnā€™t mean itā€™s ā€œas related as Hitler or Bill Cos y.ā€

Even now you canā€™t admit Bill Clinton was a rapist.

Who are you talking to though? We're random people on a mushroom site, not mainstream media or politicians. Most on this site weren't even in high school yet in the bill clinton days. It's completely irrelevant to the facts and opinions in this thread. (Just to bite your bait, have you forgotten he was impeached?)

You don't need to rehash every single similar past event to talk about what's going on in the present. Whataboutisms are a weak cop out, the only thing they do is deflect which is a weird goal in threads like this.

If Hillary was on tape bragging about tugging cocks against peoples will at parties, and was actually elected, we'd be discussing that. There's already a thread about media bias if that's what youre arguing.

Good. Random people on a mushroom board are exactly who I want to talk to. I donā€™t think any of us are here on accident. I am also well aware of the tu quoque logical fallacy. Like it or not the are the issues driving the divisions in the discussion and if youā€™re going to bring up sexual assault allegations against Trump, which is currently also disputed that that wasnā€™t even the initial starting point, then it follows the same exact allegations that were levied against a democratic president would also be addressed. The connections Iā€™ve made are much stronger than seen others make on similar topics in the past.

As far as the impeachment of Clinton goes, he obviously wasnā€™t convicted in the senate, but more concerning than that is the next 20 years that the feminist and ā€œequalityā€ hustlers swept it all under the rug and he ran around as a media darling without anyone seriously going after him. Thatā€™s a whole mother topic though I was only highlighting hypocrisy in the selective outrage. Which is still going on today.

Clinton was impeached for lying under oath.  It wouldn't take a lot for Trump to lie under oath.  Just an oath is all that would require.

Why isnā€™t anyone saying anything? The conversation seemed to completely halt. Did I derail this thing beyond recovery? I thought it was a pretty good argument. I addressed some of the criticisms and offered what I thought were valid counter points. I have seen so much worse from other people on here before that isnt even coherent.

I think that people get thread drain. After a bit there's not much point in rehashing.

That said, I think your claim that Clinton sexually assaulted and raped a woman is a little bogus (assuming I read this right, I didn't even go back a page), it also happened forever ago, and despite a huge uproar (one arguably bigger than the ones against Trump) nothing came of it.

So the case is closed for a lot of people, meaning the point really wasn't all that strong. Especially not in context of Trump potentially fucking a buffet of children with his pal Jeff Epstein. So when whataboutism is weak, it's especially weak here.

In a lot of ways Bill Clinton has paid more of a professional and personal price for his womanizing than most people. Itā€™s cost him millions. He was impeached. His reputation defines him. Iā€™m not exactly sure what people would like to see happen to him at this point. I feel like people who demand that we talk about Clintonā€™s womanizing simply were not around in the 90s. We talked about it all the time. The media frenzy about lewinsky was just as breathless as the russia thing was to trump. Get some perspective people.

We also had a pretty good idea what Clintonā€™s ā€œtypeā€ was. He wasnā€™t really famous for robbing the cradle. Lewinisky was 22. Most of the women accusing Clinton were in their 30s. Thatā€™s when trump trades them in. Clinton and Trump are both sexually predatory but stuff Trump is accused of is a lot creepier and questionable. There is example after example of trump saying or acting in a sexually questionable way about underage females. The ownship of beauty pageants is a huge red flag. That entire business is creepy as fuck. Trump also socialized with Epstein privately. They spent time at each otherā€™s homes. Itā€™s just a whole different level of suspicious behavior and contact compared to Clinton. Trump is in the record that he knew what kind of woman Epstein liked. Young. I find it very unlikely that Donald didnā€™t have at least some idea what Epstein was into. I think we all know trump was fine with Epsteinā€™s sexual tastes. Trump may not have shared the exact proclivities, but he probably admired Epstein.
