Is it healthy Mycelium?

Someone tell me if this looks healthy to you?
it smells fine but is it really healthy?
its day 13 and still no pins, does it look like its close to pinning?
i've been fanning it for a couple hours a day for the past 4 days, any suggestions?

There is definitely something going on with the look here. I would personally say that looks bacterial, but because its so wet, I really can't discern between healthy and unhealthy mycelium accurately.

As I said, this substrate is far too wet. Stop misting. STOP fanning, just introduce more FAE. You have been far too trigger happy with the misting and fanning and it shows.

I am in no way trying to be rude: but learn to dial in your tubs to set them and forget them instead of absolutely drenching them, then drying them out.

In conclusion, I am going to say that will probably fruit; however, surface conditions are sub par.

Stop fanning and loosen up you poly a bit....needs continuous FAE :thumbup:

At a second glance, I really don't think this tub will fruit well.

If this was my tub- personally, I would toss it. But I don't have much room for iffy tubs in my grow area.

It will fruit when it has more air.

Evaporation = A Pin Trigger

Most definitely. The number one trigger, I just don't personally see a great flush in this tubs future. I am no god, I cannot say that with 100% certainty. I just don't like the bacterial af look, and the water needs to GO. I only ever mist when absolutely necessary- when you are dialed in: only after a flush, to re hydrate substrate.

actually i havent misted it at all.
the moist is from before and even when i sterilized the substrate i considered the field capacity and went by it. Oh it hadn't even occurred to me that it needs more fae, I thought fanning fanning provides the Fae, so I'll be increasing fae by loosening the poly a bit.

I'm honestly not seeing anything really bacterial...looks good just starving for air!

Fanning does not supply the required amount of FAE thus is pointless...the polyfil allows you to adjust for more or less FAE to where the air and moisture are in balance. :thumbup:

The yellowing isnt indicitive of bacterial sub? I have always identified that as bacterial,from experience and from reading.

I may be off course. Who knows.

Nah...just staining from the metabolite. I honestly don't think this tub is that bad.

It just needs dialed in.

Metabolites are produced when bacteria is present- are they not? Meaning this tub is bacterial...

please correct me if i'm wrong; i was just completely under the understanding that they were caused typically by present bacteria.

Not that a bacterial tub isn't fruitable. I have them fruit for me all the time.

You are definitely right that this tub is just being choked out. I see that clearly now (thank you for clarification.)

I have actually found this to be a compelling explanation.... metabolite is just part of the process :shrug:

Well, I have been running some suspected bacterial jars that have been producing a dry ounce per quart on the FIRST flush. I was thinking I got lucky, but it makes sense now.

Heres an update:Its been two days since pinning but the pins have been very few and havent grown much since.
I wonder if its because of the sub maybe going dry? or some other factor
couple users advised to increase FAE a lot and i have done that but still not much results.
I personally think its because of low moisture maybe, so i misted them before taking these pictures.
Ps: i havent dunked them or misted since spawning.
so what do you think?
and there is some blue hue to some spots in myc, is it bruising?
is there any way i can help this tub?
