What does it mean if the fluffy white mycelium is turning grey on one of my casings?....its not cobweb.....could it be too much H2O2?

I had the same problem my last casing and since im stubborn and didnt want to throw it away (cause i thought it was a contam) I just took a spoon, scooped out the part that had the grey mycellium, then spray some straing 3% h202 on the part and then sprinkle verm on in. Im no expert, but the flush went great!

Its dead mycelium.

This could mean a few things. Probably just that the conditions are not optiumum for growth.

The worst case senerio could be that your casing could have been infected by a contam from underneath and is killing your healthy mycelium slowly.

Just hope that it is dying because it was too fluffy or its too dry, or like you said too much H202. I would not use H202 water much...its best just to use distilled or spring water.
