Your CBD experiences

Just ordered some (Europe).

I'm especially interested how it would work on insomnia. There seem to be a lot of myths about it so what are some of the benefits you feel CBD oil has offered you.

Friend swears by it, said it cured his anxiety...and yet still always seems to have anxiety.


I have never felt anything from it. Then again you’re not supposed to. So why take it again? My friend says I don’t feel anything because my brain is wired right and I don’t have anxiety (not necessarily true at all). So I ask what do you feel when you take it? He says ‘nothing, you’re not supposed to feel anything’

Ok so what I’ve gathered from my research is that CBD is way overpriced.

Ive smoked CBD-Dominant bud. Its a Weird drug. Made me feel instantly sober with a clear mind. Took all my THC high away. Also tasted like a weird drug too. Didnt like it. Probably has medicinal value but recreational drug value? Nah. Dont smoke it to get high cause u wont.

Tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I'm Dutch and more used to the stronger strains but I was surprised at how good it is. Really mellow and relaxing and just a bit of the highness. Just pick the strongest CBD they have and you're good to go.

The dispensary by me calls their CBD strain “the wife” because it’s a bitch when u don’t get High :lol: :somefunnyshit:

OP, did you buy CBD buds or something else?  There's a shit ton of (alleged) ways to get it into your system. 

Trusted vendor?  I read a study recently (can't locate the link) that stated most CBD products are either mislabeled in their claimed potency or completely bogus.  I think this study only covered the US so maybe it's different in Europe.

Cbd has done nothing for me. Ive tried many cbd products from smoking buds to cbd crystals. Same for my wife and pretty much everyone i know that doesn't believe in ghosts and alien abduction

I've got some weed with CBD in it: "CBD Punch" from a Massachusetts dispensary.
CBD 13%
THC 6%

I have read the CBD should cancel the THC high.
Not sure how much to trust those numbers because the CBD punch gives me a similar high as when I smoke a good THC weed. and sleep is good, I guess...

I am no expert with modern weed by a longshot, but maybe they mixed up their strains?

I suppose it is way over prices. It definitely does not get you high. Yet it does relax the muscles. At least I think so. There are 4000 chemicals in marijuana. I believe THC mixed with CBD gives you that sleepy feeling. I feel CBD by itself does not make you tired. I also have tried pure THC by itself(or so it was sold to me as). Without ever knowing if it was real I want to say to me pure THC by itself is boring the way CBD is. Well maybe not boring. Definitely a one dimensional high, strong as it is and yes purified it is strong but totally the opposite of CBD instead of no high and just the body stonedness it is to me no stonedness and just this kind of glittery pyschedelic feeling but not with the personality pot has that it gives you this stonedness. Saying Indica gets you tired just because of CBD and sativa wakes you up just because of THC to me is just so innacurate. Pure CBD to me feels nothing like an indica and pure THC feels nothing like a sativa. The combination of 4000 cannibanoids to me is what gives pot its identity. Indica just has that stony combination where sativa less so are you glued down. The flower to me really brings out those differences in feeling based on minor changes in the strain. The chemicals seperated by themself are less fun though and to me much more specific to one sort of function.

CBD of course really just does nothing and any effects it has are much more in the background. Some people say it does nothing. It definitely does not do much. Of course I find my muscles much more so at ease. Its almost like a cigarette like it has this niceness to it without really understanding why. Of course not addictive like nicotine though. Pricey I suppose yet better then nothing.

For me, CBD is amazing, but I've only ever dabbed it, i.e. huge instantaneous doses. It helped with insomnia, anxiety, even anger. I had one day where I was just pointlessly in an absolute rage, I was seriously about to punch a hole in the wall. But then I decided to take a big fat dab of CBD isolate and within 5 minutes I was completely calm.

It just makes me feel good, great actually. I don't know how to describe it, it's not even close to a high yet somehow I feel like a million bucks. The real issue is dosage, it's extremely expensive for something that has such a subtle effect. I could easily suck down a 1000mg a week, and that would be with limiting myself. Even with the cheap prices I was getting it for, that would still be almost $75 a month. I loved it but gave it up because of the cost

I dunno I found it better then pot. Had a buddy ask me if I wanted to try diet weed. It was just cbd no thc. It was like the after effects of pot without the high. Which is my favorite part of smoking weed these days. I don't actually like the high but I like that chill after effect where food tastes amazing and your sleepy.

CBD varies a lot person to person and depending on how it is used. In most cases expect it to be fairly subtle alone, it definitely can have some benefits but can also be very subtle unless treating a specific issue.

IME pure CBD crystals taste slightly like licorice, and have a solid relaxing effect when dabbed/smoked. Alone it can be pretty mild though, CBD + terpenes can be a little more balanced yet still way different from THC.

CBD flower varies a ton too, some is mostly CBD while others will be 50/50 cbd/THC which can be really nice for a relaxing smoke. I like the mix the high CBD stuff with high THC stuff to balance it out, or just smoke some CBD if I get too stoned to mellow out the THC.

Personally I'd say the best way to use CBD is buy pure CBD crystals which sell for 20$/g or less, or get a good deal on CBD bud (or grow it) CBD crystals are easy to mix into extracts, they also dissolve easily in terpenes and can be vaped. I even put CBD crystals in joints or on bowls, though it's best pre mixed with terpenes and hash oil. CBD bud can be hit or miss IME, often overpriced and meh tasting. But I've tried a few great CBD strains, sadly the newer tasty ones are still expensive.

Actually been meaning to go pick up a half oz of some CBD bud, was getting this strain Mango Haze for awhile which was pretty tasty and relaxing with like 7% THC and 11% CBD. But I've seen some other promising CBD strains for fairly cheap lately.

Recently I bought some high CBD extract at a dispensary too, 2 kinds. One is called Remedy and is 66% CBD and 22% THC, seems like winterized oil as it has a light red/amber color and tests at 95% cannabinoids. Very mild/earthy taste too which is common with winterized extracts since they lose terps. Anyways the other is called Diesel Mutt and is 22% CBD and 66% THC, it actually has a decent diesel aftertaste. It's funny though as the high CBD remedy oil is way more oily, almost like CBD distillate. While the high THC stuff is more like soft shatter or pull/snap.
