Twin Peaks the Series would be cool.
But the movie is a downer IMO.

Yeah, but I like somewhat depressing or scary movies while tripping (I'm weird like that).  I would at least watch the David Bowie scene though; that part kicks ass. :thumbup:

If I was watching a series, I would watch "Trigun".  It's especially good while on high doses of DXM.

Triguns an anime set in the west. It's about a guy named Vash the Stampede and ya check it out it airs late on adult swim.

FLCL is one of my favorite animes, I think it comes from the creator of Cowboy Bebop. It's so random and crazy, it would probably be really great while tripping .... yes, that goes in my list of things to do

I think that was on Adult Swim for a little bit, wasn't it? Did it have a robot in it somewhere? I vaguely remember a robot and a bunch of crazy swirling colors and I think it was called FLCL.

Requiem For a Dream. A real downer, you need to chase it with a comedy or something like finding nemo, but a definate lesson in life and a real thinker.

Trigun is a western-like anime which is funny with some action at first.  As it progresses, it becomes darker (more evil), and then becomes philosphical towards the end (all while retaining the action, which is mainly composed of gunfights).  You find out about why the setting is like it is as it progresses, too.  The entire series is only 26 episodes long.  It really helped me a lot with my personal philosophy & deciding what I want to do with my life, which was when I watched it on DXM.  It really was exellent therapy for me.  The Japanese (subbed) version is better, and you can download it off of Kazaa. :thumbup:

I'm not sure who made FLCL, but I know that it wasn't from who did Cowboy Bebop.  It's only 6 episodes long, so it's shown on Adult Swim whenever they need to fill some gaps.

I've been thinking about it, and I really want to rent like 12 hours worth of cirque de soleil performances on dvd and watch them while I'm tripping.. any thoughts? It sounds like fun to me; they are really bright and trippy even when I'm sober, and I can't imagine them giving me any negative vibes.. what do you all think?

Check out "Four Rooms","The Big LeBowski","Ghosts Of Mars","Berzerk","Das Experiment","Private Parts",any Jim Carrey comedies including some "In Living Color" skits,freak porn with midgets and hermaphrodites and dudes with 2 dicks,"Empire and Jedi",Lord of the Rings trilogy (back to back to back),"Fear and Loathing","Kenshin","Brainscan","Looney Toons",and my all time favorite thing to watch when tripping is "The Beach".I hate Leonardo DiCrappy-O,but that movie OWNS !!!!!!!!
Also if any of you live around the Lafayette,Louisiana area and if you also have access to a boat I strongly suggest riding around Lake Henderson.You may want to have someone sober driving,but that would take the fun out of it for me though.Kneeboarding is also fun while tripping.Fishing is another mindblower especially when u hook a huge fish.I'm the outdoorsy type,I think everyone should be.Enjoy it while its still here. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :grin:

Donnie Darko definitely. the music in it is very good. they have some cool slomo scenes. anarachy. it's like a highschooler's trip movie i'd say.

I have a question for you all. One of my buddies, the first time he tripped, he and his cousin watched a movie that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me. He said it was something like guys drawing cartoons and they came to life? ....i guess that's bound to happen after you eat shrooms, but I thought he said that's what the movie was really about, even before he started really tripping. Any ideas?

Someone prob already mentioned it (too lazy to read through), Waking Life.

Its about a lucid dream. The movie was filmed and then each frame was traced and painted; its like watching a very life-like cartoon.

Really interesting philosophies also.

Soo this is my first shroomery post, im kinda bummed you guys missed so many good movies! Okay where to start, anything by studio ghibli is amazing, anime series can be pretty cool like gurren lagann or especially eureka 7, the secret of kells is a great fuckin movie if you can handle a little dark, kids animated movies are pretty badass like the movie free bird or big hero 6 which i saw on shroomies in the theatre hahaha. I know im missing a bunch of good ones but this should get ya started :wink:

i cant believe noone has said Adventure Time!

id also suggest Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. i never watched it tripping but watched it my first time stoned and laughed hysterically even tho id seen it many times before.
