I just realised I'm a complete munter. It's peaty soil :facepalm: no idea why I've been calling it loamy......... It's soil in my backyard that's basically just 100% broken-down twigs and such. It's very soft, spongy, wood-laden soil.

Hamilton is cranking at the moment after all this cool wet weather.  I don't usually hang around to take pictures - in an out as fast as possible but this find was too good not to.  Check out all those golden tops!

Yeah doesn't look like anyone has been there for a while. 

Seen lots of pins around today, lifting shrubs etc. So its not over yet (no I don't take pins).

Maybe this has just been my year, but I'm seeing a lot more lately.

I swear a new giant strain of subs has naturalised itself near me, see this 20g monster and its friends I found a few weeks back:



I cut the stem to take a spore print and it literally bled blue.
