Found 165g wet some huge caps, up to 55mm across!

All hiding under clover and green stuffs . . .

And these guys getting friendly with their neighbours. . .


All up a pretty good day out. . .


They're "coming out of the woodwork"  :laugh2:

Meanwhile I come here to share my 6.1 P. semilanceata :v (I say 6.1 because look how tiny that one at the top is, it's pretty much a 10th of a mushroom)

These were monsters.
84 fruit @ 165g about 2g each. There were 10 small ones from a new patch found on the way that skewed the numbers a little. See the black thumb from splitting for drying . . .


The others, 119 fruit @ 99g less than 1g each.

Will re-weigh when dry and see how they compare.

My area of picking has slowed a lot, most of the pin patches I covered with gorse and grass have disappeared so I assume someone else got them. Still found a few small pin groups which I left, picked a few singles and a couple of small patches. Weather hasn't been the best, this has to be the driest, sunniest winter in a long time.

I think one of my patches up a hill isn't fruiting yet because it's too warm and dry still lmao. It's on a North-facing hillside and it's noticeably warmer compared to the surrounding area and has only recently started staying consistently damp.

Don't they basically go right through until the days start to get longer and it starts warming up again, assuming they haven't been knocked right back by frosts or anything?
